The experience has been amazing. 8 days-7 nights plenty of unforgettable memories! From the beginning, everything has been really easy for us. Diana helped us to adapt our itinerary and the result was impressive. Amboseli, Ol Pejeta, Samburu, Hell's Gate, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara! Wow! Our guide, Njinu, is an open book in terms of wild animals, nature, traditions, etc. of Kenia! We really enjoyed this trip with him, and we learnt a lot at the same time than we were seeing lions, elephants, giraffes, cheetahs, etc. Unbelievable! In the last week of September we enjoyed a fine safari at three game reserves, Amboseli, Nakuru and Masai Mara staying at the SOPA Lodges set up by Meektrails. Since December we were handled largely by Esther and appreciated the efficiency and friendliness of her. Queries answered. Itinerary straightforward with variety at each reserve. The Sopa lodges are mid-range and finely positioned and tasteful architecture inside. Busy and no complaints. Longish drives in between but you enjoy the countryside en route. The animals and bird life are what you come to see, the biggest memory of all , regardless of reserve. Of course our guide/driver , Joseph, organised us well. He comes into his own when spotting the wildlife in the field. We shared a sense of humour and chats along the way. Lorna had never been to Kenya and it will leave a deep all round memory. We booked an 8-day safari with Meek Trails. At the planning stage, everything seemed smooth—they provided us with a detailed itinerary and a list of accommodations. However, once we paid the advance, things started getting complicated.We had to follow up 7–8 times just to get accommodation confirmations. When they finally shared the details, we realized that our hotels had been downgraded from what was originally promised (initially we were booked in Sopa Hotels). Despite repeatedly asking them to either reinstate the original hotels or provide something of the same level, this was never done. Instead, they tried to upsell the downgraded options by saying they were "equivalent," which they clearly were not. Importantly, the total amount we paid did not decrease even though the standard of accommodation was reduced.We decided to pay the remaining balance upon arriving in Nairobi, thinking we’d give the accommodations a fair try. Unfortunately, the hotels throughout the trip were definitely a downgrade from what we were promised. Even after multiple complaints during the trip, the response was always that “all hotels are full,” and no action was taken.Another disappointment was the vehicle. We paid extra to upgrade to a Land Cruiser, but the vehicle provided was in poor condition inside, not what we expected for the additional cost.On the positive side, the guides and drivers were excellent. Alex, our main guide, was very experienced and knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to make sure we spotted as many animals as possible and truly made the safari experience worthwhile. On our return journey from Maasai Mara to Nairobi, Joseph was our guide—again, very professional, friendly, and helpful.In summary, while the guides were fantastic, the management of accommodations and vehicle quality was disappointing, especially given the amount we paid. Meek Trails needs to improve their transparency and service quality if they want to provide a reliable safari experience.

I booked a private 7days Kenya Safari tour with Meektrails. We were fortunate to be paired up with our excellent tour guide George. His immense knowledge with Kenyan culture and wildlife made our adventure a memorable one. George always made sure we were always comfortable during long drives. We had a wonderful time on our 12-day safari with Meektrails. Our guide Njinu has a vast knowledge of the animals, birds, plants, land and culture of Kenya and was able to answer all our questions. I highly recommend this company. Their communication was excellent from the first contact on. They did everything they outlined in their well written and detailed quote. I worked with Gadson from the very start. We did have one concern when Gadson did not respond the night before we were to leave Nairobi for the safari. Turns out he was suddenly taken to the hospital! When another rep from Meektrails did contact us they were great and upgraded our first camp to a super place. Our guide/driver the entire 8 day safari was James. He is wonderful. Very knowledgeable, excellent driver and all around kind and considerate person. James was able to show us 4 of the big 5 and tons of other animals. He created a experience of a lifetime. One we will never forget. The camps were all very nice. Each one different than the last but all very clean and comfortable. The staff in these camps were top notch and friendly. We ended our adventure with 2 weeks in Diani Beach at Baobob resort that Gadson organized. It is everything you could ask for in a Beach all inclusive. Thank you Meektrails for all you did. 35 years ago, we traveled to Morocco and Tunisia, but this trip in Kenya with Meektrails Safari was our very first authentic safari tour in Africa. Together, the three of us—parent and children—are 154 years old. We had some concerns, but the staff and guides kindly took care of everything.Kenya was a whole new world for us. We felt deeply that we are part of nature, and that we must protect our beautiful planet. We had a brilliant 6 day safari trip around Kenya with a fantastic guide called Kennedy! Really friendly and knowledgeable and helped us see the most amazing wildlife and scenery. Company were really easy to work with (especially our contact Peris) and were able to customize our trip and adapt the itinerary to suit our needs. They were also very reasonably priced in comparison to more well known safari providers which was great for us but also helped provide a more authentic and local experience. Would highly recommend. NB- if driving make sure you opt for the Toyota Land Cruiser upgrade as the roads and journeys would be very difficult in mini van.

We have recently completed our safari experience, and it was a trip of a lifetime. We spent our 7 day trip in Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara. The booking process with Charles was hassle free, and he was always on hand to answer any questions we had, as well as provide a massive help with our booking. We arrived in Nairobi the night before, of which Charles also helped arrange a hotel. We were then met by both Charles and Daniel, as well as our tour guide for the week - Sammy. He was incredible throughout our whole trip, providing fantastic knowledge of the safari animals and also helping us to learn a little bit of Swahili! He was second to none in spotting the animals and making sure we always had the best experience during our entire trip. We managed to get lucky on many occasions and come up close to most amazing animals - a once in a lifetime opportunity! The food during all meal times were nice and catering to all, as well as the impressive facilities during each of our stays. We were celebrating our 1 year anniversary, and they even managed to provide us with a cake. I can’t thank all at Meektrails enough, and it’s an experience I would 100% recommend to all. I would give 10 stars if I could!

We have just had a 5-day safari to Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara with meek trails. Esther made my booking process super easy. She knew exactly what I wanted and arranged my itinerary according to my needs. She was easy to speak to at any time of day and kept me well informed. All was arranged well and the accommodations were great. In this 5 days we have seen everything that we wanted and more! Our balloon safari was amazing and one not to be missed!Meektrails know how to welcome their clients really well. We had Esther, the company director and our guide Ben come to collect and welcome us. We were given safari hats and water bottles. The jeep was well equipped with a fridge, sockets, bottle holders etc.Our guide Ben made our safari trip everything we wanted it to be. His experience showed and his knowledge was amazing. He taught us so much in our 5 days. He knew the behaviour of each animal and managed to show us the big 5, a cheetah hunt and much more. My friend and I went on a safari with Meektrails, who were incredibly accommodating to our time constraints and comfort. Great experience with Meektrails for a 10-day safari with family and friends (6 adults). From the first contact our consultant Peris communicated quickly and professionally to organize our safari in Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and the Masai Mara. Njinu, our guide, had a,wealth of experience and knowledge - we had some very long days and always felt safe with him at the wheel. Njinu was full of information about the different birds and animals we saw - and he worked hard to spot the elusive leopard so that we saw all of the Big Five. In August 2025, we traveled from California to Nairobi for our long-awaited first African safari—and it was everything we dreamed of and more. I highly recommend Meektrails Safaris after our incredible 10-day safari in Kenya. Gadson made the communication and itinerary planning seamless, answering all questions via email, WhatsApp, and phone calls. The lodging far exceeded expectations for the price, and I'll provide more details. Upon arrival at Nairobi airport, I was met by Gadson, Daniel (Meektrails’ owner), and Ben, our fantastic driver and guide for the entire trip. Ben was an excellent driver and guide, navigating the parks safely and positioning us perfectly for wildlife sightings.Our private safari allowed us flexibility, with a jeep to ourselves, snacks, and an electric cooler. We stayed at the Mtito Hotel tented camp, which was peaceful, scenic, and overlooked a river where we saw giraffes, monkeys, and antelope. We felt very safe with security on-site every night. In Masai Mara, Ben captured amazing lion sightings, including one where we watched a lion feast on a wildebeest. Ben's expert positioning allowed us to see leopards and cheetahs up close.Next, we stayed at Sopa lodges in Nakuru and Naivasha. At the Naivasha resort, hippos swam right past our balcony, and we saw zebras, giraffes, and antelope wandering the property. A giraffe even sat on the path outside the lobby after dinner. In Amboseli, Ben expertly navigated rough, unpaved roads. We had an unforgettable evening game drive with elephants at sunset, and the next day we saw more wildlife, all with Mount Kilimanjaro in the backdrop.We ended in Tsavo West and East. The Ngulia Lodge at Tsavo West was a bit outdated but had incredible views of elephants, buffalo, and antelope. At Manyatta Tented Camp in Tsavo East, we had a private pool overlooking the park, where zebras, elephants, and monkeys were just feet away. Ben took us to a spot where we watched elephants bathing in red mud—an unforgettable experience.Our safari exceeded all expectations, with rare wildlife sightings, including the Big 5, white rhinos, and the elusive black rhinos. Meektrails was accommodating every step of the way, from planning to transport. After the safari, Gadson arranged our travel to Baobab Beach Resort at Diani Beach, with seamless pickups and drop-offs, including a train and flight back to Nairobi. I just came back from a 3-day Masai Mara safari with Meektrails Safaris, and honestly, it was one of the most incredible experiences of my life. We booked with Meektrails based on a recommendation from a YouTuber. We were sceptical having had our previous safari cancelled last minute by a different company. However, Meektrails were AMAZING! Considering we booked 5 days before arriving from the UK in Nairobi in the middle of peak season, Valentine did a fantastic job with booking us our 4 night Kenyan safari. She helped to reassure me as I was (understandably) apprehensive as to whether I could trust another company. She booked us 2 of the most beautiful lodges in Tsavo West and Amboseli. We had a couple of incidents with our guide but we were able to contact Valentine and get them resolved. We also appreciate that we booked so last minute, we weren’t going to get the best of the best guide! On our first morning, Valentine, Daniel (the owner) and a couple of other members of the team were there to welcome us. We got complimentary hats (very useful) and water bottles. If you’re nervous about booking with a local company, this is a company you can trust and I wouldn’t hesitate to book with them again!

It was a wonderful experience! We signed up for an eight-day, seven-night trip. We booked the entire trip's accommodation at Sopo, and there were basically no disappointments. I'd like to highly recommend our guide, Habil. He was very responsible, kind, and even bought us small gifts himself. He was so considerate! On the last day of the trip, the guide even accompanied us to the hotel to check in before leaving. It was so thoughtful.

Habil's ability to spot animals is truly remarkable! Whether it's a lion hiding in the grass or a cheetah lurking in the trees, nothing escapes his eyes. Once, we had been searching for a long time without seeing a giraffe, but he quickly spotted the giraffe in the distance with his rich experience and sharp observation skills, which made us extremely excited! Besides being professional, Habil is also very considerate. He always pays attention to the needs of each of us, helping to take photos and prepare snacks. He can also quickly solve any unexpected problems, allowing us to enjoy the trip without any worries. This trip was so wonderful and unforgettable because of Habil. I will definitely find him again for our next trip!

We have just returned from our honeymoon in Kenya where we chose Meektrails Safari to be our guides. Peris was our coordinator and right from the start she was responsive, communicative and adapted the safari to suit us. She stayed in touch with us from enquiry, right through until after the safari.The owner of the safari company Daniel, Peris and our guide (also called Daniel)all came to meet us on day one of the trip. The roads in Kenya were an experience in themselves to say the least but we felt so safe with Daniel driving us. Daniel was chatty, kind and knowledgable and also taught us some Swahili. Nothing was too much trouble for him. The safari itself was amazing. We were taken to the major national parks across Kenya where were lucky enough to see the big 5 in our first few days. The lodges and hotels that Meektrails had booked for us were stunning to say the least and the food was amazing. All of the accommodations were tentative to be husbands dietary needs as a coeliac. After a week of national parks and conservancies we went to Diani beach to relax. Meektrails not only planned the train and accommodation for us but made sure that there was someone there to collect us to take us to our hotel and even escort us into the departures area on our way back.Our Kenyan safari experience was incredible, all thanks to the team at Meektrails. Initially, I thought I was lucky to spot the big 5 but on second thought, my luckiest encounter was crossing paths with guide George.Guide George is extremely well-spoken and knowledgeable. He is also quick-witted and has a keen eye. Like a chameleon, Guide George is able to adapt to situations and our needs with ease, which makes us feel safe and heard.From big things such as ensuring: 1. that we are safe during the drives — he is a superb experienced and safe driver 2. our dietary requests were met 3. we are warm 4. hydrated 5. sufficient time to rest and rechargeTo seemingly small things (but packed full of thoughtfulness) such as: 1. answering ALL our questions — by ALL I really mean it. Always present and on top of things. During this 7-day Kenya trip, there was never a moment when I felt unsafe, unheard, or unhappy. Excellent safari trip with Meektrails safari. They took personalised care of each and everybody of our large team of friends and family. We travelled from Nairobi to Amboseli, then Naivasha, Hell's gate National Park, Nakuru, Masai Mara and back to Nairobi.The guides were amazing. We stayed in excellent hotels and lodges. The overall package was reasonably cheap. I'll highly recommend Meektrails safari to anybody willing to visit Kenya for safari tour.

We had a large group visiting Kenya for a weeks safari covering Lake Elementaita, Amboseli, Hells Gate and Masai Mara. Our tour guide and driver Julius was exceptional, even finding both a cheetah and a leopard catching their pray on the same day! Everyone was very helpful with my elderly father in law, and when my son lost his teddy bears at one hotel, he managed to get the back to Nairobi to be reunited. Julius was very knowledgeable about everything, and a very good driver. The Land Cruiser that was provided was very clean and comfortable.I cannot imagine a better tour company to go with.

Our Kenya safari with Meektrails Safaris, my wife turned into one of the most disappointing trips we’ve ever taken. From day , nothing went as promised. Kenya’s wildlife is beautiful, but with the Meektrails wrong operator we choose, the magic disappears completely. We were picked up hours late with no apology, crammed into an old, noisy vehicle where the windows barely opened, making it almost impossible to take photos or even breathe comfortably in the heat. The so-called luxury lodge looked nothing like the pictures dirty rooms, broken showers, and food that tasted like it was thrown together without care. Game drives felt rushed and unplanned; the guide seemed bored, barely speaking, and only stopped when other jeeps had already spotted animals. We missed out on key sightings because of poor timing and lack of effort. Instead of the magical safari we’d dreamed of, we got frustration, wasted time, and a feeling that we were just another booking on their list. For the amount of money we paid, this experience felt like a complete rip-off. The itinerary promised full game drives, but in reality, we spent more time waiting at the lodge than exploring. Meals were repetitive and poorly prepared, and some lodge facilities didn’t match the descriptions given. The guide seemed disinterested, offering little information about the wildlife or the park, and often stopping only when other vehicles had already spotted something. We still saw a few animals, but the overall experience lacked the excitement, care, and professionalism we were hoping for. For such a dream destination, the trip felt rushed, underwhelming, and not worth the price we paid.

I came with my wife and friends for this safari. George was our guide and driver and he has been extremely friendly and helpful person as a guide, driver and always cared for all five of us who traveled in his car. He is sincere, very hard working, knowledgeable about the places to see , routes and things we expect to see . We thoroughly enjoyed his company and have seen everything in this trip beyond our expectations. We will recommend him to all of our friends and family who wants to visit in future .

We were more than happy with our busy schedules from 3rd August to 11th / 12 th August 25. Only thing we felt need to be improved for our mostly doctors friends group is packed lunch . Some of the packed food were not easily eatable. Other thing is that goal post kept on changing which we ment that after co.ing here we came to know that our initial hotels have been changed. Changed hotels were good but it is nice to know where we will be staying during our holidays. Peris is extremely helpful and guided us extremely well during our trip. The other person who was our safari jeep driver - George. He is extremely courteous, knowledgeable, expert communicator, helpful and look after us so well that we feel he will be an asset in your company as an driver. All in all when we go back to England we will recommend your company to our friends. We will remember George and Peris for a long long time for their sincerity, service and sacrifice. He is a humble human being, a very careful and excellent driver. He was respectful of the five passengers, including four elderly people. He has great knowledge of the parks. The safari tour agent was very professional from start to finish. The accomodations were good. The guides (James and Anthony) spoke excellent English, were always punctual, jovial, and had a great sense of humor, making the trip very enjoyable. They were highly experienced and deeply knowledgeable about wildlife (they are able to anticipate animal movements and even predict river crossings with remarkable accuracy. Impressive!). This expertise made the experience truly unforgettable. Highly recommended.

We were in Kenya between 18th-28th july 2025 and we used meektrails to plan our trip and they did a wonderful job. The trip was full of activity and also well paced. At no point did we feel like " wish this was done instead of that " we were completely satisfied with whatevrr was arranged, be the vehicle, the hotels, and of course the safaris which we were very lucky with.But icing on the cake was out guide/ driver Gideon. Not only was a great driver and very knowledgeable, but also a fine human being. He treated humans and animals with so much respect. At no point, just for the sake of a better view or photo, would be disrespect the jungle or the animals and i thought that is how every guide should be - animals first.We will definitely recommend meektrails, and also Gideon to anyone who travels to Kenya.
