We, a family of four, took a 7 day Tour staring in Nairobi visiting Lake Naivasha, Masai Mara (3 days) , Lake Nakuru (1 day) and Amboseli (2 days). Pauline was very helpful in the entire booking process and tailoring the trip to our needs. She also did wonders in preparing the places we stayed about our diatery needs, everyone has been super helpful. Pauline also helped us with all the logistics during the trip and it worked flawlessly. Our guide Njinu is called „Safari Encyclopedia“ for a reason, he was not only showing us the beautiful flora and fauna of Kenya, he made sure that we were learning about what we were seeing, acting like a teacher with very deep knowledge. His dedication, experience and the network amongst the guides made it possible that we had the most amazings sights.

We had an eight day family tour from Nairobi to Masai Mara, to Serengeti, then the Ngorongoro crater and finally Amboseli national park. Pauline did a great job helping us plan it and Jasan did an amazing job driving us and was a very knowledgable guide. The views were breath taking, it was so much like The Lion King.The sister company , Serenity clarity was also awesome. Both the guides - Kelton and Nazar were wonderful. We stayed at very comfortable camps and lodges, with great hospitality and delicious meals. Truly had a blast and looking forward to visiting again. We wish you the best.

Our Honeymoon safari was absolutely stunning and made exceptionally by Sammy, our guide, who was so experienced, patient and kind. We got to see all big 5!!! It happened to be my birthday in between, and the team at MEEKTRAILS managed to make it feel at home even away from home! We had an unforgettable safari through Kenya with Meektrails Safaris, visiting the Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli. From the very beginning, Esther listened carefully to our wishes and created an itinerary that felt truly tailored to us. Communication before and during the trip was always warm, easy and reliable. A huge part of what made our safari so special was our guide and driver, Kim. His knowledge of the wildlife and the country, his incredible eye for spotting animals, his patience and his calm and friendly way of doing things made every single day special. He seemed to notice animals long before we even knew where to look and shared so much about their behaviour and the places we travelled through. And somewhere along the way, his constant “pole pole” became one of those little things that will forever remind us of Kenya. We also learned how valuable a good tour operator is when things do not go according to plan. Our journey started with a major flight delay and an unexpected night in Dubai, and Esther immediately adapted the arrangements in Kenya and stayed in contact with us. Later, when we experienced a very upsetting incident at one of the camps, Kim was there for us again and helped us through a difficult situation. Knowing that we were well looked after not only when everything was perfect, but also when something went wrong, meant a lot to us. There were also so many thoughtful little touches along the way that made the trip feel personal rather than like a standard safari package. This was our first safari in Kenya and it became a journey we will remember for a very long time. This was my first safari in Africa. I booked the highly‑rated Meektrails online. Pauline arranged my safari across Kenya and Tanzania. My driver‑guide Habil in Kenya showed me plenty of wild animals, and I got to see the extraordinary sight of cheetahs feeding on a baby elephant. Wonderful journey overall.

Meektrails gave us the most wonderful safari experience. Victor planned a perfect 6-day safari with overnight stays in two beautiful tented camps (Amboseli and Masai Mara) and one lodge (Lake Nakuru). From Amboseli, we especially remember herds of elephants, a wealth of beautiful birds, and sunset over Mount Kilimanjaro. From Lake Naivasha and Lake Nakuru, we especially remember hippopotamuses, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, flamingos, and pelicans. From Masai Mara, we especially remember the enormous herds of wildebeest and zebras, and last but not least, the big cats: many lions, a cheetah, and a leopard. The landscape in the parks was very varied – from savanna in Amboseli and Masai Mara to lake and hilly forest areas in Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha, so we were glad we chose to visit them all. Our guide Mwas was incredibly skilled and very experienced – a true master when it came to positioning the car exactly where the animals were heading. He knows the parks inside and out and managed to show us both The Big Five and The Ugly Five. He knew everything about all the animals, birds, and plants we saw along our way through the four national parks. And on the long stretches between the parks, he told us about Kenya's history and life in Kenya today. We experienced so much and learned so much and are so incredibly grateful that Mwas became our guide. Thank you to Meektrails for a wonderful experience that will always live in our hearts and memory. There's only one thing we would do differently if we could choose again. We went to visit a Maasai village. The village chief told us how the Maasai treat women and young people. It made us regret that we had gone there.

We have just finished a week safari with Meektrail Safaris and it was excellent in every way. We visited Amboselli, Lake. Navaisha, Lake Nkuru and Masai Mara. From planning, to pick up, to drop off we were so well looked after. We went on a private 8 day safari. Peris contacted with us and booked the hotels and arranged the itinerary for us. She was very good at responding to any queries we had and personalising the journey. Our tour guide Jason was incredible, very knowledgeable about wildlife, and has a personal hobby of bird watching. He knew most of the bird species we saw and spotted them even when they were hidden or incredibly far away. These were pleasant surprises and added to the experience of the safari. He helped us find all the animals people come to watch in Kenya, big and small. He knew the way around Masai Mara like it was his home, and knew the habits and behaviour of the animals very well, too. What we loved most about Jason, was that he was very respectful of wildlife, he was honourable, kind, and trustworthy. We felt like he was a very close friend by the end of the trip and really missed him after we said our goodbyes.

We had an amazing vacation and kenyan safari with meektrails. Friendly knowledgable drivers, great vehicles , lovely places to stay (loved the ARK in particular). They did a rescue on my luggage for me also. Lots to love and i recommend them to you. Very responsive on our requests in the planning stage also. I was a fan of the Glamping at 2 of our stops. Mosquitos ended up as a non issue at our stops because of the quality of accommodations :).

My wife and I arranged a 13 day customized safari which included 5 safari trips and a 3 day stay at the Diani Beach Resort. Esther was our contact and arranged all of the accommodations as well as the plane flights to and from Diani. Our guide was Sam, who had the sharp eyes to see animals hidden by camouflage in the grasses. He alao was a wealth of information about Kenya and the animals we were seeing. Sam went out of his way to ensure we got the most out of our trip. Immediately upon arrival at the Nairobi airport, we were met by Esther and Sam and transferred to a Toyota Landcruiser for our travels. Our first stop was Amboseli National Park, we then traveled to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, Samburu National Reserve, Lake Naivashu, and Masai Mara. We then traveled to the Nairobi International Airport for our extension to the Diani Beach Resort. The animals were incredible! Often times elephants, lions, zebras, wildebeest, and giraffes came within a few feet of our vehicle. The great migration was in progress at Masai Mara, and did not disappoint. Herds of intermingled zebras and wildebeest were seen frequently. Also the cruelty of nature with predators and scavengers feasting on the fallen. The accommodations were upscale to luxurious. The Sopa lodges, where available, were outstanding. Definitely ask for these. And where Sopa was unavailable, the arranged accommodations and staffing were equally nice. The staffing was very friendly and helpful at all locations. Meals were buffet style, except for box lunches while traveling between parks and the picnic box lunches while at Masai Mari. The buffets had selections with an international and Kenyan representation. Deserts were plentiful and yummy.

We do the 6 day safari, from the first moment we land on Kenya our host Peris was already waiting for us! Our guide Mugweru had a really nice car, always clean with water bottles. Also Mugweru was an incredible driver/guide, he knows everything about animals, knows how to respect them, how to be patient and also is the friendliest person in the world! We really has a blast with him. Sometimes the parks were really full but we always got the opportunity to see the animals and enjoy them. From the “Party Bus” being always near to the animals and having lucky moments. Recommended 100%. Asante sana

Me and my wife have just finished our 7‑day Kenya safari with Meektrails Safaris, and we owe so much of its success to our incredible guide, George. My partner and I had the most amazing 10 day trip through Kenya with Meektrails! Coming from the US I was not sure the best way to book my first safari and stumbled upon Meektrails through a few travel bloggers. From day one, Eliud was so response and eager to help us plan the best experience. I felt totally looked after and prepared before we landed in Nairobi. On the first day of our safari, we met Eliud and were introduced to our amazing guide, Lucas! Over our 10 days, Lucas shared so many facts that made us fall in love with Kenya. We were lucky enough to be the first to find a leopard early in the morning and followed him for 45 minutes! We saw the big five across multiple parks, multiple times, the special five, the ugly five and part of the great migration. We have just returned from a 10 days safari organized by Meektrails. It was a tailor made package since all the members in our group were senior citizens and preferred a relaxed safari. Meeks trails delivered in every aspect!! Travelling as a family of 3 we enjoyed 7 days in Kenya and a further 5 in Tanzania. Starting from the initial booking process I had the pleasure of dealing with GADSON on how and when I could navigate a safari covering the best of the parks between Kenya and Tanzania. He made the process easier than I expected and was able to give me a very fair price for an exceptional itinerary. Once in Kenya we met with the team in Nairobi and were introduced to our Guide for the foreseeable whilst in Kenya. Our guide ANTHONY immediately made an impression making us feel welcome and taking us on to our 1st national park. My son (9 years) who can be shy at times was able be himself around Anthony almost immediately because of how kind and welcoming he was, laughing and joking etc. personality aside, Anthony’s knowledge and expertise were 2nd to none, he gave us so much insight into Kenyan culture on our journeys through his country, and when it came to being amongst the wildlife he was able to answer our questions and tell us everything we needed to know about any species. Even down to the vegetation he knew EVERYTHING! no exaggeration!! On top of all Anthony was able to deliver some spectacular moments for us with the animals including all the big 5 some other rare species all due to his understanding of the parks and also his popularity around them. We chose a mid range safari, and just to mention the accommodation for each stay were at a very good standard some of which exceeded my expectations. And lastly the cross over to Tanzania which Meeks trails organised, we were completely blind on this part as we didn’t know anything about the company in Tanzania, however Meeks did and the guys on that end were just as brilliant as in Kenya. 10/10 Meeks trails crafted us a trip of a lifetime. We made memories as a family in Africa that we will never forget.

From the start to the end of the safari, every single moment was staggering. From seeing elephants walk directly in-front of our vehicle with the breathtaking b view of Mount Kilimanjaro in the backdrop to seeing a cheetah running at brake neck speeds to catch a fleeing gazelle, the safari had it all. However this experience was taken to an entirely new level by our guide named Bernard Njinu who seemed to be connected with nearly every single person in Kenya, from park rangers to other tour guides he knew them all. On-top of this he spotted a lion from over 500m away with just his eyes hiding in long Grass which my and my family could barely see with binoculars proving his over 20 years was extremely valuable. Coming into this trip I was sceptical of meek trails as I had no idea what I walking into, but once I had started the tour, I finally understood what all nature documentary miss out and that is the ability to look at the majestic creatures is there real habitat close up and not in zoos. This company has exceeded my expectations ten fold and were so good that I’m planing to do a trip with meek trails in the coming future. The only mistake that I made on safari was that I didn’t book a longer Stay. This company deserves only 5 star reviews and if your on the edge of deciding which company to chose, Meek trails will not disappoint. Had an amazing safari experience with Meek Trail Safaris from July 5–10, We were a group of 18 in 3 jeeps, and everything was well-organized—it definitely helped that they own their own fleet of 15 jeeps. Valentine, our safari consultant, was super responsive to all our questions (even if she occasionally had to "check with my boss"!). All payments and logistics were handled in a completely smooth and transparent manner. The boss, Dan, came to our hotel with his team to greet and welcome us in person before we set off, which was a great touch. They even organised our pick up and drop from the airport though it was out of the safari contract since we landed 1 day early and Left 1 day late. We booked our Kenya safari with Gadson at Meektrails and it exceeded every expectation. From the first email exchange, Gadson was responsive, patient with our questions, and put together an itinerary covering Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and the Masai Mara that balanced scenery, wildlife diversity, and pacing perfectly. We were a large family group of 16 people, and although we had a pretty good idea of what we wanted for our 8-day safari, I felt anxious about trying to coordinate everything myself. I am so glad we partnered with Meektrails. I specifically wanted to work with a Kenya-owned company, and I chose Meektrails based on their excellent reviews. They took care of our group from start to finish. Charles helped arrange everything, responded quickly, and provided helpful information throughout the planning process. All of our guides were fantastic — and with our large group, we had seven guides in total! A special shout-out to my jeep guides, George, Anthony, and Jinu, who were excellent. The guides for my siblings’ vehicles were also wonderful. Our Maasai Mara guides each had more than 30 years of experience, and it showed. All of our guides were knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and clearly well respected by guides from other companies. They seemed to know everyone, and you could tell they had great relationships and goodwill throughout the parks. The vehicles were new, clean, and comfortable. We stayed inside the parks and were very glad we did, as it allowed us to make the most of our time observing animals. There was always plenty to eat, the rooms were clean and quiet, the views from each lodge were amazing, and the service was excellent. We also took small planes to cut down on driving time, and we loved the experience of flying into the parks and landing on the dirt airstrips. We splurged on the hot air balloon ride as well, and it was absolutely worth it. We learned so much from our guides about the animals, Kenya, the landscapes, and even the plants and trees. Meektrails gave our family an unforgettable experience, and we would not hesitate to recommend them. We are so glad we chose this wonderful Kenya-owned, former-safari-guide-owned company.

Our safari was an amazing experience and Meektrails definitely was a big part of it! Pauline was phenomenal at helping us schedule and book everything! We started with two days at Amboseli — Joseph, our guide for those days, was… There are no words. Joseph in two days became family. He was extremely knowledgable about the wildlife of course, and his enthusiasm for all animals, no matter how small or large, was contagious. We did not just drive around chasing the big animals; we paused to observe behaviors great and small, which helped us city slickers quickly grasp the complex beauty of this ecosystem. Joseph also engaged with all of our questions about local culture, Kenyan history and politics, and pretty much everything! I do not think we stopped talking for the whole two days. I have a pretty severe back pain; Joseph not only adjusted his driving to make it easier on my back, but he continuously expressed care and concern in a very heart warming way. Thank you, Joseph! After too short a time with Joseph, we then flew to Masai Mara, where Alex picked us up. Alex is a local Masai, and so he knew the land and the animal’s favorite hiding spots. He too was very attentive to my back problems and also adjusted his driving. He was very knowledgable about the wildlife and provided good information throughout our drives. We eventually realized that, if he’s on his phone while driving, he’s chatting with other guides who may have a bead on a leopard or cheetah. He also was giving us the opportunity to observe animal behaviors, from a pride of lions bonding as a family to a father impala putting his children in order. In just a few days, we learned so much!! Finally, on our last day, we were supposed to visit a coffee farm. We flew from Masai Mara to Nairobi and Habil picked us up. Because our flight was more than 2 hours delayed, we no longer had the time to visit the farm. Habil had to improvise a plan that would work for us on the fly. We ended up walking in the downtown/financial district of Nairobi City, where he talked to us about the different branches of government and how it works, daily life in Nairobi, and how folks enjoy their Friday evenings (it was a Friday). Meektrails curated one of the most memorable trips for our large family! We visited 3 parks and did unique experiences in between. Me and my family (wife, 2 sons and their girlfriends) went on an 8 day safari starting in Masai Mara (4 days), Lake Nakuru (1 day), Lake Naivasha (1 day), and Amboselli Park (2 days). The entire coordination by Pauline was amazing. She was incredibly responsive and happily made the many updates we had to the itinerary. Our guide Waicha was amazing. He has decades of experience and it showed with his ability to find and explain the animals and the ecosystem. He also did a great job forecasting which direction animals were headed to have the best views when a rhino or a herd of elephants crossed by. Overall, the 6 of us had an amazing time and all thanks to Pauline, Waicha, and the wonderful team at Meek Travels.

We had an amazing experience with our driver, Habil, during our trip across Kenya. He drove us from Nairobi Airport to Lake Naivasha, then to Mtito Safari Lodge, and finally to the Masai Mara Safari. Throughout the entire journey, he was more than helpful, always making sure we were comfortable, safe, and well taken care of. The roads and long driving distances can be challenging, but Habil handled everything professionally and with great skill. His driving was excellent, and his friendly attitude made the trip even more enjoyable. Nothing was ever too much trouble for him, and he was always happy to help whenever we needed anything. The company communicate thoroughly throughout planning. We were met by our driver and team of 4 staff who welcomed and briefed us on the safari. Our three-generation family group started planning our Kenya safari a year ago. Thank goodness we found Meektrails Safari Tours. They were fantastic throughout the process, handled every detail and provided wonderful guides. We were a large party of 16 ranging in ages from 80 to 8 and they helped us design a Safari experience across three parks over 9 days and it was amazing. My family drove with Joseph and James and they were excellent, knowledgeable, and funny. We felt safe and well taken care of the entire trip. The back office did great work securing our bookings, in-country plane tickets, and transfers. It was a seamless process. They helped us identify some unusual activities to do while we were there as well, including dinner reservations and stops along our travels. From the start of the planning with Charles to the 10 day safari with Gideon as our guide, it was a truly amazing and unforgettable trip. I never imagined that I would see as many animals as I did. They were magnificent!!! Gideon kept us safe and he had a great sense of humor. He was always looking out for showing us the best time we could have. I already miss his smiling face. We had worked remotely with Valentine to design a three generational family experience during our 10 day stay in Kenya. We were to spend time in the Masai Mara, north conservancy and then fly to Amboseli. From to start to finish we were made to feel welcome and was treated like family by all the team. Our main driver was Anthony. He was superb and knowledgable. Jane’s meet us in Amboseli and again was fantastic. There was a hiccup in the north conservancy which Daniel handled to perfection. Thank you! Our final day was the icing on the cake we were taken to Nairobi National Park where we saw Rhinos completing the big five! Followed by Sheldrick orphanage amazing!!! We then went to feed the giraffes my personal dream come true ❤️ All our accommodation was fabulous as was the service we received. We were truly blown away. My friend (and constant travel companion) and I just finished our 14 day safari with Meektrails. Gadson, our safari consultant at Meektrails, was great at answering our myriad of questions via email as we decided everything from the length of the trip to where in Kenya we wanted to go. Once our safari started, George took over as our guide and driver. He not only knows the roads of Kenya better than the back of his hand, but also knows the animals. Any random question about animals, he knows. When it came to the game drives, he always reasonably set our expectations and then over delivered using his instincts and the network of other guides. Every game drive was filled with diverse animal sightings. I highly recommend Meektrails!

I just finished a 14-day safari across Kenya with one of my oldest friends and I highly recommend the experience! We booked with Gadson and he was communicative and clear with us the whole time. We adjusted our trip from the original request and he was very helpful. Everything that was booked for us was top-notch - we didn't have a single complaint about any lodge. We walked away thoroughly impressed by every stay. Our tour guide, George, was phenomenal. He was incredibly personable, immediately making us comfortable and excited to spend 14 days with him. He quickly understood our priorities and temperament, adjusting every experience to what worked best for us. His deep knowledge of the park and great relationships with other guides made our trip full of animal sightings. For example, on our first game drive, George networked with other drivers to find a spot where a lion was allegedly spotted. Realizing that we were two adult women, George determined that we had something a larger group or someone with kids didn't have - patience. We outwaited all the other cars to the point my friend and I were getting skeptical (but the view of an amboseli sunset with Kilimanjaro in the background made it a very pleasant wait). In the end, we were definitely rewarded as a mother lion with two cubs walked out of their hiding spot once it got cold enough - just like George had predicted. After that, we knew to just trust George. And it paid off. Not only did we see the big five and the Samburu five (and cheetahs), we also had well-timed late starts/relaxing evenings/wash room breaks/meals, etc - This trip may have been my most seamless travel experience! My main recommendations are definitely get a jeep and trust in your guide (if they are as good as George).

We (a group of three) went on the 6-day Private Safari at the end of May 2026, right before the peak season began. Everything was well organized, and other than liaising with Meektrails before the start of the trip, we barely had to lift a finger. The safari got started before we even arrived at the first destination. The drive from Nairobi to Amboseli already offered a glimpse of some of the wildlife we’d be seeing. Zebras, giraffes, and ostriches could be seen right off the highway. Our guide, Robin, had extensive knowledge of not just the animals, but also all the areas we drove through on the way. It only got better from there. Each excursion offered a unique experience - even if it was a destination we’d been to already. We watched the sun set over Mt. Kilimanjaro as herds of elephants made their way home for the evening, and came back the next morning to find dazzles of zebras and journeys of giraffes grazing on the vegetation. Each park and reserve offered different wildlife, and we were constantly seeing and learning new things. Across Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Nakuru, and Maasai Mara we were introduced to beautiful birds, incredible beasts, and outstanding locals. What really brought the whole trip together was Robin. A good tour guide is friendly, knowledgeable, and passionate. Robin was all of that and more. For the entire 6 days we were together, he not only taught us about animals (can you tell the difference between a Thomson’s gazelle and a Grant’s gazelle?) and Kenya, but also taught us some Swahili and was eager to learn some Estonian. He’s a master of maneuvering the truck and positioning it in the best possible place for photos. But most importantly, he’s just a fantastic person. Three of us travelled to Kenya, but it felt like four friends on the most scenic road trip imaginable. If you’re even considering taking a trip to Kenya, do yourself a favor and go. We did a ten-day safari through Nairobi, Maasai Mara and Amboseli, it was truly the trip of a lifetime! The experience was incredible from start to finish. We were lucky enough to see the Big Five, along with countless other animals including cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, elephants and so many more. The wildlife sightings were amazing, and the landscapes across the different parks were varied which meant we never felt bored! Our guide for the majority of the trip, Anthony, was outstanding. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and always went above and beyond to make sure we had the best experience possible. He worked hard to find great wildlife sightings and made every day enjoyable and memorable. The same can be said for our guide in Amboseli, James, who met us at the airstrip following our flight from Maasai Mara. James was helpful and welcoming. We had a brilliant time in Amboseli due to his extensive knowledge about the area and wildlife. Throughout our time in Kenya, the company was extremely helpful. Our safari vehicle was very comfortable and regularly cleaned. Our travel via road and air was seamless and enjoyable. It was clear all staff wanted us to have the best safari experience possible. One thing we particularly liked was the flexibility of our drivers. If we wanted to go out and do a full-day game drive, that was facilitated. Likewise, if we were tired and fancied a half-day drive and then time to relax at the camp - this was also fine. That ‘hakuna matata’ attitude and the ‘pole pole’ pace when we wanted it is something I miss already! We just returned from a 7-day Kenya safari with Meektrails, and it genuinely exceeded every expectation. The booking process handled by Victor and Peris was very easy, clear and transparent - we knew exactly what was included or not, and there was no surprise at any time. We spent 7 days doing safaris around Kenya (Amboseli, lake Naivasha, lake Nakuru & Masai Mara) with Anthony as our guide and driver from Meektrails! Thanks to Anthony we saw so many animals, more than we could have had imagined! Anthony was very sweet, full of energy and passionnate. We learned so many things about animals, nature and culture. We felt very safe with him, it was obvious he had a lot of experiences and was kind to people around him. We highly recommend him and Meektrails for your next trip to Kenya.

Meek Trails provided a really good overall experience. The places we stayed were very good, and they organised transport well, making it easy for us to get everywhere we needed to go. The food throughout the trip was also very good. They were very accommodating, especially when it came to things like picking us up from the hotel and helping with arrangements. The price was good compared to other options we looked at, and the payment process was simple. Communication was easy overall as well. One small improvement would be letting guests know the pickup time the day before so there’s no need to ask. I’d also recommend contacting them through WhatsApp rather than email, as they seem to respond quicker there. One tip for future travellers: if you’re going during the rainy season, it’s probably better to choose the Jeep rather than the minivan. Also, if you’re doing a longer trip like we did (six days with quite a lot of driving to see everything), the Jeep is likely the better option as it’s generally quicker and more suitable for the roads. Overall, a very good experience and I’d recommend them. 🚙🌍

We did a six-day safari trip to Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli with Meak Trails Safari and had the best time. We loved each place. We saw different animals in each park, and the landscapes were really different across all three, which we really loved. We saw the Big Five, plus cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, flamingos, and more. We did the tour with George, and he was amazing. He really went out of his way to make sure we got the most out of each day and always tried to get us into the best spots. We couldn’t have asked for a better guide. We had the best time and would 100% recommend doing this tour with George. We’re really happy and thankful for how everything was.

We did a 6-day safari with Meektrails through Massai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Amboseli. Everything was well organized and the three parks are different enough that it never felt repetitive: Mara is all open plains, Nakuru has the flamingos and is more compact, and Amboseli gives you Kilimanjaro as a backdrop, which is hard to beat. George was our guide and the biggest reason the trip worked so well. He knows these parks really well, spots things you'd completely miss on your own, and just generally went out of his way for us throughout the whole trip. You can tell he actually enjoys doing this, which makes a difference. We saw the Big Five, the Ugly Five, cheetahs, flamingos, pretty much everything you'd hope for and then some. We did a 7 night private safari as a group of 3 through Meektrails and it was such a fantastic experience. Our guide Gino was wonderful! We selected the 3 park option: Ambroseli, Nakuru and Masai Mara. My family and I had such a great experience with the Meek Trails team on our trip to Kilaguni. They surprised us with a vehicle upgrade, which was awesome. This was a bucket list trip for me. Traveled with my 15 year old son. We did a custom tour from Nairobi to Masai Mara via Nakuru/Hell's gate and then Amboseli with a stop in Navaisha. First Charles helped us organize an amazing trip. Exactly what we were hoping for. Including extras like the train down to the coast from Amboseli, and the flight back from Diani to Nairobi, as well as an extra day in Nairobi at the end. He was responsive and gave us a lot of extra information and reminders up to our arrival. He welcomed us on our first day and introduced us to our guide George. Now George. Oh George. Did we ever lucked out with our guide George. If I could give him more than 5 stars I would. He was beyond excellent. Not only professional, hard working, knowledgable and made every effort for our safari to be a success, looking for all sorts of animals. But he did it all with grace and generosity. In addition he acted as a patient father figure to my 15 year old son. And for that alone I will be forever grateful to him, as he made MY holiday so much better. I cannot describe how great he was with my son. Answered all sorts of questions, even the ones coming out of left field, he managed his expectation. Prepared him for the long driving days. Gave him breaks and options when he saw that he was reaching his limits. Honestly he was incredible. He made the safari so interesting for us. It was a super nice experience during our 7 days safari. All the Places we were staying were at the highest level. Also the food was incredible. Wow if I could gives these guys 10 stars I would. From start to finish the booking process and working with the team was amazing. Our guide George is an expert on Kenya and safari, every animal had a story. We learnt so much about the animals, trees and Kenya. His navigation and driving was on another level. Best experience I've ever done. Our first experience was with Diana, we had a lot of problems with flights etc due to the Middle East war, and she was so helpful and accommodating. We literally couldn't come until less than 24 hours before and she still made it work for us. We had George as our guide for the 4 days. We are so so happy we got George as our guide! So much knowledge and experience about the land and the animals. He can drive in literally any condition! We had floods for a day when we were here and George just cruised through them. Thanks to Meektrails for making our dream of Africa come true. We did a 4 days, 3 nights safari in Masai Mara, and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Our guide, Mr. James Kihara, helped us see the Big Five. He is extremely experienced and very knowledgeable. He patiently answered all our questions and never gave up searching for animals. He would wait for us to finish taking photos and even helped align the jeep to get the best angle. As an experienced photographer himself, he knew exactly how to position the vehicle for the perfect shot. His driving skills were excellent, especially on the wet and muddy roads. It was quite adventurous, but we fully trusted his experience. Inside the park he was on another level, always positioning the jeep perfectly and predicting the direction animals would walk. Every early morning he would greet us and ask how we were, which made the experience very warm and personal. A special thanks to Miss Valentine, who was very responsive over the past 8 months while planning the trip. She replied quickly and provided all the details we needed. She even arranged a complimentary birthday cake from Meektrails for my husband when it was too late for us to book a birthday surprise. The Meektrails team also made us feel very special. We booked 7 day Safari and had an amazing time!! Thankyou ver much Peris you were wonderful... from the start the communication was great & very pleasant and made sure that we have a lovely time! We went to Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Nakuru and Masai Mara. All accommodations & food and transport arrangements were excellent.At the resorts & hotels the food was hygienic & tasty with a huge variety. Our Safari driver James was great very flexible & friendly .He made lots of efforts to ensure we see all the animals & especially the big 5. Luckily we got to see all plus many more. Weather in January was ideal ! After Safarii we went to Galu beach, Diani for a break. All in all we had a memorable holiday with family. We had the most amazing week with Ben as our tour guide and driver, could not recommend him and Meektrails more! We had never done a safari before so did a lot of research before choosing Meektrails and were so happy with our choice. Ben was so friendly and knowledgeable and went above and beyond every day to ensure that we had the best time and saw more animals than we ever imagined. He seemed to always manage to predict where the animals would be going at different times and always got us into the best spot for photos, I still don’t know how he did it! We saw elephants crossing in massive herds, a cheetah hunting and lions came right up to, just to name a few. He was always able to spot animals from so far away and had the radio on to make sure he was aware of any cool animal sightings and taking us straight to them. When he passed other guides he would tell them about things we had found, as we often were the first to get there with no one else around. It felt like he was just as excited as us to see all the animals which was so nice, and he always maximised our time in all of the reserves. He was also so knowledgable and happy to answer all of our many questions. My boyfriend loves birds and he was so great at spotting lots of different types and telling us about them. If you can request a specific guide I would definitely really recommend that you ask for Ben. Thank you Ben and Meektrails for a truly magical week that we will never forget!

We just spent ten absolutely wonderful days on safari through Kenya in February and we couldn’t have wished for a better experience and guide. The whole organization beforehand was smooth, the timing and the accommodations were perfect and we always felt completely relaxed and well taken care of, especially with our assigned guide Joseph. If there was a problem, it was solved immediately. He made the whole trip very special with his incredible knowledge and experiences and by always being warm, friendly and easy to be around. You can tell that he genuinely loves what he does. Thanks to him, we saw an incredible variety of wildlife. Everything we had hoped for and even more. Joseph was very patient, reliable and flexible in time for our game drives throughout the whole trip. We always felt safe and in the best hands. He answered all our questions, shared so much interesting information and never made us feel rushed. We would highly recommend this experience and do ask for Joseph as your guide as he will make your safari truly a special one.
