James Mungai was a very good driver n an amazing guide with high quality knowledge about the animals.
If i want do kenya safari again i book Meektrails and if possible James Mungai as driver n guide.

We had travelled to Kenya for 7 days safari during last week of January through Meektrails. Amidst the multitude of tour operators, it was Meektrails' enticingly budget-friendly quote for a private safari that initially caught our attention. Our point of contact was Eliud who had planned our itinerary, he was very prompt in replying to all our questions and although we had asked for tweaks in our itinerary multiple times still he was very accommodating and patient and assured that we will have once in a life time safari experience. Also, we are thankful for the complimentary upgrades to our accommodation in Masai Mara and Amboseli. All our stays in Masai Mara, Amboseli, Nakuru and Naivasha were premium, good, clean and comfortable. And lastly, we had once in a lifetime safari experience due to our guide Mr. Manuel. He is definitely one of the best safari guides and we can definitely vouch for that from our experience. He is extremely knowledgeable about animals and birds, enthusiastic, skillful, punctual and also a very kind and caring person. He ensured that we were always comfortable and did not face any issues during our entire trip. We managed to see 4 out of big 5s in 1 day’s safari in Masai Mara and all the credit goes to Mr. Manual. Our safari journey surpassed every expectation, fulfilling our long-standing dream we'd harbored for years. To anyone seeking an unforgettable odyssey amidst the splendor of Africa, we wholeheartedly recommend Kenya, Meektrails, and Mr. Manuel.

we did a 6-days Safari with Meektrails and it turned out to be absolutely amazing. Pauline was very helpful during the preparation and even met us at the airport upon arrival. Since day 0 everything went great. Eilud and Pauline were really helpful with the organization and information. They really care for the details. The hotels were nice, food too, and our driver/guide/guardian angel Luc was incredible. He taught us a lot about every single park we visit and all the animals we're able to see (even a white rhino in the wild!) and he was always in a great mood, helpful and down for adventure. It was truly a great safari, and we are really happy to had done it with Meektrails. Highly recommended.

Our 13-people family enjoyed 8 day/7 nights safari in Masa Mara, Hells Gate, Mt. Longonot and Amboseli with Meektrails.

Wonderful Pauline helped with immaculate tour plannning that accomodated all our specific needs and wishes, whereafter guide &- drivers Nderitu and Steve delivered and took us through the experience of a lifetime.

Travelling with a 13 people group is a logistic challenge, but Nderitu and Steve were fun, knowledgeable, great company and fully flexible to a changing programme and helped to keep everyone happy.

Our safari was a horn of plenty and value for money was great. On hindsight - we can not come up with a single thing we could have wanted better or different.

Thanks a million to Meektrails - for this truly bonding family experience. Revisting Nairobi, national parks and Kenya after living here 1977-1980 was a great experience to share with the the original Mzee, my 3 brothers, a load of girlfriends and kids.

Oh yeah, and we saw all the wild life we could dream of, had great food, super nice accomodation and friendly staff everywhere.

We booked our 10 day safari with Meektrails Safaris for our honeymoon in January 2024.

We had the best experience with our trip planner William and our tour guide Lucus! They planned the ideal safari that I felt was very well rounded with a mix of animals, geography, culture and lodging. They were well organized and we didn't worry at all throughout our trip.

Lucas was very experienced and we were lucky enough to see some very rare animals like owls and bat earred foxes. We also saw the more popular and expected animals like lions, elephants, giraffe and rhinos. The particular parks that they chose to include in their safari was well thought out and had a diverse selection of animals, and each park brought different experiences. It never felt repetitive, and each park had some different types of animals that weren't seen at the others.

We were able to do some smaller guided tours during our safari such as a boat tour, bike tour, walking tour and hot air balloon ride. I thought this was a great way to add experiences and adventures to the trip, and it can be adjusted to meet everyone's wants and needs.

We were driven around in a Toyota van with a pop up roof which was surprisingly very comfortable, roomy, and took us into some deep bush. It never broke down or got stuck, where as we saw other vehicles not get as lucky.

The lodging that they booked for us had great food with options for all dietary types. I am vegetarian and my husband is lactose intolerant, and we never felt like we had no food options. They booked a variety of lodging types which we really enjoyed, from luxury tents to private cottages. They also let the lodges know it was our honeymoon and many of them decorated our rooms for us. Also keep in mind the staff at the lodges will most definitely blow you away with their friendliness and professionalism and will deserve to be tipped too.

Lucas was in particular amazing as he went out of his way not just to help us, but other drivers and tourists along the way. We needed to pick up bug spray and sunscreen before our safari and he took us to a mall beforehand to pick up what we needed. At the end of our safari he also was kind enough to drive us outside of Nairobi to our Airbnb for the night, even though it was much later in the day then planned.

Make sure to factor in tipping for when you travel as it will be well deserved from everyone you meet, especially your driver who will work very hard to find you every animal they possibly can. You will also have more then your driver as your guide at some points in your trip, so make sure to keep that in mind for tipping money.

We would highly recommend this company and would enthusiastically book with them again. We only wish we had a longer safari with them!

Quite good and amazing safari experience in Kenya arranged by Meektrails. Many thanks to Pauline who communicated with us by wechat and we get all the questions answered by her always in time. Our guide Sammy is also very friendly and responsible. He accompanied us for almost the whole safari journey and seized every chance or possibility to find the animals for us. Meektrails is highly recommended if you visit Kenya.

I went on an 8 day, 7 night safari with Meektrails in Jan 2024. From start to finish, the experience was brilliant.

Booking with a safari company from afar (the UK) was a bewildering experience. There are so many to choose from and it's hard to differentiate between quality of service. Pauline from the booking side was extremely responsive from the off helping coordinate and schedule a customised version of one of their itineraries.

After some negotiation, we settled on an itinerary and price and they asked me to put down a partial deposit so they could finalise hotel bookings. I was originally a bit nervous to do so, but paid the deposit by card for added security (at the cost of 3%). After this, however, Pauline continued to communicate which put me at ease I hadn't been taken for a ride!

Once my partner and I arrived in Kenya, Daniel, Pauline and our guide (Sammy) greeted us at our hotel in a brand new Meektrails 4x4. We paid the remainder of the fee then and were on our way.

Sammy was fantastic. He is extremely knowledgeable, went repeatedly out of his way to ensure we were comfortable, and is all round a lovely person. Make sure to request him and if you're lucky, he might be available!

Having now been on safari, I am confident the quality of the guide you're with really influences the experience you have. It impacts the animals you see (i.e. how experienced they are in knowing where they'll be), the view you'll have of the animals, and feeling of ease and comfort in a foreign environment. Whilst Meektrails wasn't the absolute cheapest organisation we were quoted by, this is more than made up for by the quality of their guides.

I couldn't recommend Meektrails (and Sammy!) highly enough.

It was our first safari tour and we had the time of our lives! We are happy we did it with Meektrails safaries - 7 days - Amboseli, lake Naivasha, lake Nakuru, Masai Mara. The process of planning and arranging the details was very straightforward with Daniel being always available to answer our questions. From the moment we were greated at the airport by Daniel,Lukas and our guide Timothy we felt welcomed and well cared for. Tim was very knowledgeble, funny and friendly. His knowledge and stories about the wildlife of the savanna made the londhours drives funny and most enjoyable. Tim was very flexible and went above and beyond to meat our needs during the trip. He was excellend driver,very relyable. There were periods of rain and flooding on the roads during our trip and few other chalenges but we didn't miss a bit of our plan and we thank Tim for that. The accommodations were the closest possible to the wilderness which we found very exciting. From Sentrim lodge in Amboseli we were lucky to see the snows of Kilimanjaro before the sunrise- one of my dreams came true! Every night we listened to the voices of the savanna and early morning we were greated by the symphony of the birds songs- absolutely amazing! The food was delicious and there were many varieies and options.
The wildlife and vegetation in savanna was like another world experience. We saw tons of animals and birds, we saw 4 of the Big 5. We only couldn't see any leopards but we took it as a sign that we have to come back another time 🙂 We would happily choose Meektrails Safaris and Tim as our guide again.

My husband and I cannot say enough about our experience with Meektrails. From the beginning, Paul was great at providing information and creating a safari that worked within our budget.

We were met at our hotel in Nairobi by Paul and our driver/guide, Ben. There was a vehicle waiting for us with room for 6, and at the price we paid, we expected to be with at least one other couple. Nope! The vehicle was just for us. A private 7-day safari! We were thrilled!

We went to Amboseli, Naivasha, Nakuru and Maasai Mara. At each place we had great accommodation (don't be scared off by 'tented' accommodation - it's not like camping, they are permanent lodges and are great - we preferred them all to the one hotel we stayed in), a fantastic choice of food (I'm vegetarian) and each bed was super comfy. We slept very well.

Ben was a great driver - knowing when and were to stop for coffee/lunch breaks, pointing out places of interest and giving us a bit of history. He also knew not to talk all the time, which was appreciated.

By the end of the week, we had been to Amboseli twice, seeing over 200 elephants (I stopped counting after that) as well as giraffes, zebras, ostriches, cape buffalo, wildebeest, hippos, all kinds of antelope, a hyena and... a cheetah! That was only one park! In Naivasha we did a walking safari and came within a few feet of giraffes and zebras. We were both crazy excited! We also did a boat trip on the lake and saw a lot of the bird life. In Nakuru we biked our way to Hell's Gate with a guide and proceeded to walk to the gorge. Great exercise and amazing views! We stayed at Ziwa Tented Lodge. Fabulous! The next day we went to Nakuru National Park and things got even better! The black rhino and the lions made up 4 out of the Big 5. Another thing.... you cannot believe how close the animals get! They are often quite literally on the side of the road. A bit nerve-wracking when it's a big, male lion!

By the time we got to Maasai Mara we thought we'd seen just about everything. We had a lovely lodge called Zebra Plains, and when we went out the next day, at first it felt disappointing. The park is very flat. How would we see anything? But Ben is an amazing guide. I don't know how, but he communicated with other drivers and somehow managed to get us to places when there aren't any signs or major landmarks. We saw a pride of lions and many other animals we'd seen before. We had a picnic lunch (Ben brought a folding picnic table and our packed lunches) by a tree in the middle of the park. By the end of the day we had resigned to not seeing all of the 5. But close to the end of the day, Ben found a leopard! YAY YAY YAY! I was giddy and we had this beautiful creature lying in a tree in front of us for 15 minutes before another vehicle arrived. It was the highlight of our trip!

The next day was our last. We had to leave through the park to get to the Maasai village. As we were driving a hyena ran in front of the car and straight to a baby Topi, whose mother was trying to protect it. Hyenas came from all directions. And although it was sad, it was nature. The whole safari was like being in a David Attenborough documentary. I don't think you can do better than that.

On that first day at the hotel, Paul had said we'd love Ben as our guide. He was absolutely right. Ben was amazing! Both of us were 100% happy and would recommend Ben and Meektrails if you want a once-in-a-lifetime experience at a very reasonable cost. This was definitely a 10/10 vacation!

We had such a fantastic and unforgettable experience from start to finish. Joseph our guide/host from Meektrails was kind, funny, knowledgeable and experienced which made us feel safe. I can definitely recommend the 3 day Masai Mara safari package.

The last seven days have been full of highlights as we visited Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Hells Gate, Lake Nakuru and Maasai Mara National Park. The whole trip went perfectly smooth, from the communication and booking before our trip (Pauline replied to all our emails super fast) to the safari itself where we want to thank especially our guide Joseph. He is not only very knowledgeable of all animals (and very good at spotting them), but also passionate about his job and went the extra mile to give us the best experience possible. Having a caring and experienced guide makes a difference and we can highly recommend Joseph!

When researching which safari to book, we originally wanted to do a shared safari. Luckily, we changed our opinion and booked a private safari, which was definitely the right choice. With a private tour you have much more space in the car (and you’ll spend a lot of time in the car), and you can decide on the whole schedule and don’t need to find compromises with other guests.

On our safari we spotted the big 5 but also many more animals. In total, we took over 1500 pictures of all the animals. I recommend bringing a camera with a good telephoto lens (I had a 70-200mm lens with a 2x converter), to also be able to take pictures of animals that are further away.

Our personal highlights were seeing elephants close in Amboseli, walking next to Giraffes in Lake Naivasha, the rhinos in Lake Nakuru and the Lions in Maasai Mara. If you have less time than 7-days, you could skip Hells Gate National Park.

We booked a mid-range tour and all our lodges were fine, each with its pros and cons. Sopa Amboseli Lodge had the best food and very friendly staff. Fisherman’s Camp rooms were more basic, but while sitting at the restaurant you could watch Hippos feeding grass just a few meters away. We also liked the rooms and food in Ziwa Bush Lodge. AA Mara Lodge had nice rooms but the restaurant and bar definitely need refurbishment.

To sum it up, thanks Meektrails and Joseph for a great safari experience. We had a great time and will travel back home with many beautiful memories.

We (family with two kids aged 6 and 3) really enjoyed our well balanced 7 day Jambo tour with Joseph, our driver and guide. The parks are very different, with beautiful landscapes and many animals. Joseph drove us around and was very patient and friendly with the kids. We saw the Big 5 and more, staying in a variety of tented camps, lodge and resorts. Recommended!

Meektrails were extremely friendly. Our guide Giddi was awesome with his brilliant knowledge and thirst to show us all possible promises. He made great efforts and even succeeded in showing us Leopards, cheetahs and lions. Since leopards are very elusive, still he managed to show us with his brilliant driving skills and knowledge around Mara. Meektrails met us just outside airport and started the trip from there. We had great vegetarian options as well for food where they booked hotels inspite of non vegetarian options. All stays were extremely peaceful and beautiful. We were on a 7-day safari trip with MeekTrails and we are both very satisfied with the service. Pauline had been prompt and responsive in our communications. We enjoyed this experience soooo much! Sammy was the best guide we could ask for, he has 21 years of experience and he spotted all the animals we wanted to see: 3 times a Leopard, 2 times a Cheetah, many lions from very nearby, many rhino’s, hippo’s, etc…! He made sure that we had the best 10 days in Kenya and that we would see all the animals (some luck included ;)) We felt very comfortable and safe when we where with Sammy and he made sure that we felt good. So if we had any personal wishes/needs/desires he fulfilled this, it’s a man with a good soul… We will surely recommend this trip! One side note, the schelde is a pretty tide and intense, you see a lot in the 8 days safari trip, but for us, it was a bit too much! This was fine because Sammy made sure we also got some rest. But be aware, there’s not much time to rest if you do the whole program as they offer it to you. If you have any personal wishes, for example, a rest day in between, let them know and they will arrange this for you! I would highly recommend this, because the full Safari game days are pretty intense. Moreover, we liked the Amboseli & Masaai Mara Park the most, so if you have less time, make sure you see this! The people in Kenya are the nicest people we’ve met so far, and we’ve travelled a lot. Overall, a once in a lifetime experience! Make sure you do this with Meektrails (and ask for Sammy as a guide) 😃

If you’re contemplating a safari in Kenya, look no further. The whole experience was amazing! Paul, whom I was in contact with from the beginning was very informative and prompt when responding to my queries.

The team picked us up from our hotel in an extremely punctual manner. We met Lucas -our private guide- and were on our way.

The lodge was splendid, having everything we required. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Lucas managed to track down 4 of the big 5 and we even got wind of the rhino (last one) but it managed to evade us. The boat trip and the walking safari topped the trip off nicely and Lucas got us to the airport in ample time. I can’t recommend him enough, he really made our experience special. The biggest highlight of the trip was our guide James. He was incredibly friendly and literally had a 6th sense to where the animals would walk and go leading to close encounters with the animals and some amazing pictures.

If you are booking ask for James as he will truly make your trip special.

What a wonderful experience. The assistance Meektrails provided before, during, and after our safari was outstanding. We had a great time and saw a lot on our trip. Our tour guide, Antoni, was fantastic and provided us with a wealth of knowledge beyond simply the animals. We had the opportunity to see both the interior and exterior of this stunning nation, Kenya, with him. In addition to making extra stops on the drives to the sites to provide us additional information on other topics like the tea plantations on the route to Kisumu, he made sure we had the greatest possible view of all the animals. A very fond memory we have is watching a mother cheetah and her four cubs literally walking by our car and a cobra showing its full size after feeling threatened by the car.

Very easy to book and the package was clear and well described. Communications were fantastic during and after the booking was made.
We had a minibus type safari vehicle which seemed well maintained and was very comfy.
Our guide, Paul, was absolutely amazing! He could literally sniff out the animals and we saw the Big 5 plus more! He kept telling us all about the animals and was very knowledgable. Picnic mid-day was good and accommodation was to a fair standard.
Definitely recommend Meektrails and I will be using them again for our next trip.

We had a wonderful time and we were so happy with our guide Juma. He showed us so many amazing places, we saw so many animals and he looked after us like a dad, lovely man 🙂
Most of the accommodations were of a quite high standard for mid range, especially Amboseli Sopa Lodge for food, facilities and entertainment, as well as Ziwa Bush Lodge with a beautiful room and bathroom. However there was one accommodation by Lake Naivasha, Fisherman's Lodge which I would not recommend to anyone. It was not the same standard as the others,dark, dingy, not clean and felt unsafe. Bed felt like it was already slept in. This was the first time the company used that accommodation so I passed on my feedback. Also make sure to ask if your guide will be staying at the same accommodation and what kind of vehicle you'll be travelling in, as we were under impression that it was going to be a jeep and we had a van. However it was comfortable and our guide Juma was a great driver!
All all in all, it was a fantastic experience, Kenya is beautiful, everything that I hoped it would be and more 😍

We had a 10 days trip in Kenya, visited all must go spots including Nairobi city tour, amposeli, masai mara, nakuru and navaisha. Regarding hotels booked, the price Meektrails offered is the best of all. This is one big reason we chose this agency. Another reason is Pauline. Pauline is our trip designer, she is very thoughtful and patient with us. Even add us through wechat, which may not be easy for her but really boost communication efficiency with chinese customers. She took care of SIM card, hot air balloon booking for us and answered detailed questions like vaccinations, money exchange very fast! She also helped with room exchange even it’s after her work hours. All in all, she’s awesome!
What’s more surprising, is our driver/guide, Patrick. He’s such a gentleman that he wouldn’t talk too much as he know Asians are shy and not talkative, but he also wouldn’t forget to share anything that’s necessary for us to know. On cultural, religion, nationality, especially on animals. His great eyesight helped us spot animals smoothly, we even saw the whole process of cheetah hunting.
I can talk more and more about these two awesome people, but after all, this is great experience that I recommended to all friends interested in visiting Africa. Hope they can continue delivering great services to more people and make people fall in love with Africa.

I had the best time in Maasai Mara with Meektrails Safaris. I keep choosing Meektrails all the time because of their personalized services. William the travel consultant was very kind to us, professional and guided us in selecting the best hotels and put us in a nice Jeep car that made the journey to and from Maasai Mara very smooth. Cannot recommend Meektrails enough for your safari - it was our first time in Kenya and we did a one week safari, covering Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru and Masai Mara.

Absolutely everything was perfect, but some highlights include:

• Smooth, swift and helpful communication from start to finish (Thank you Eliud!).
• Our tour guide, Michael, was great fun and a real expert and seeing big 5 was no challenge with him (+ he located any animal we wanted to see). I would highlight, that unlike some other tour operators, Meektrails are very respectful of the park rules, animals and other park visitors.
• Accommodation was exactly what we’d hope for in a mid-range safari. Food was excellent, the options were good, most places had a pool and all of them had mosquito nets + sprays. Our personal favorite was Ziwa lodge in Nakuru.

All in all, we felt safe, cared for, but most importantly, made many memories that will last a lifetime. Do not hesitate to travel with Meektrails Safari.

Well planned trip. Thanks to William and Gideon was a fantastic guide. I liked the flexibility by Meek Trails to extend the stay. They were very quick , responsive and helpful.

The good part about our safari was our guides, who were very friendly and informative. However, there were a couple of things that the Meektrails management can do better. One is the accommodations, and the second is providing correct information to the users.

We booked this tour for Jeeps and paid accordingly. I had a better quote from a different safari operator providing greatly better accommodations for a similar tour for a lesser price, but, I chose Meektrails as they offered us a Jeep Safari. However, in the morning when we were about to start the safari, we found that our safari was in Vans and not Jeeps. Since I was already there with a big group, I could not do much about it, and the management made no effort to refund our money or make up for it in any way. So, please be careful if you are touring with Meetrails.

I have a small complaint, but I want to give Meek 5 stars. I choose a private trip with my wife and child. My family prepared a little later than the scheduled time, but we could travel without any problems because it was private. The driver, Joseph, was so expert that he found all the animals we wanted to see. In Masai Mara, we saw lions eating, and in Lake Nakuru, we saw rhinos. In Crescent Sanctuary, animals could be seen up close while walking safari. All three places were distinctive, and it was a good experience.
On the downside, we took the van, but the jeep looked good. I don’t know how the ride was, but the view of the jeep vehicle looked better. The hotel had good facilities, but there was a lot of dust on the towels, and the reception didn’t tell me the time of breakfast properly, so there was a slight setback in the schedule.

Our trip to Kenya and safari with Meek Trails was amazing!! Our driver, Joseph, was the very best! He was a great teacher and shared his wealth of information about the animals and kenya. Joseph was key to our amazing safari trips on the game lands. He worked very hard taking care of. us, making sure that our experience was optimized, and was always kind and smiling. I would highly recommend him to anyine making this trip with Meek Trails.

We went on the 7 day trip with a slight twist (no Lake Naivasha but an extra day at Maasai Mara).

What sold us to this operator was that they were very responsive, transparent about what was possible and what not, and had a competitive price. Pauline also helped us find the accommodations that best suited our needs (I recommend paying special attention to the reviews of the individual lodges).

Our driver John never tired and managed to find the big 5 and many more animals.

The experience with Meektrails was great. Before booking the trip we had several whatsapp conversations with Paulin to choose the tour 100% to our liking. Once there we were picked up at the airport and spent the whole week with our Spanish speaking guide Michael. The hotels chosen were the same except for the first day when we were given a superior one due to lack of availability. We recommend Meektrails for their treatment, sincerity and management. Our guide Michael was very attentive and did not rest until he found as many animals as possible during the safari.
The tour is totally private, it was a couple tour with a vehicle for just the two of us.

Me and my mom spent great 8 days in Kenya with Meektrails Safaris.

The planning and communication before our arrival was smooth, Pauline was very responsive and provided answers to all my questions.

On the first day of Safari we were picked up from our hotel on the agreed time, greeted by Pauline, Daniel and our guide for the week - Anthony.
Anthony made our safari experience great, he is a very positive person, provided us a lot of information about the plants and animals and made sure we see all the big 5 animals before the end of our tour.

The accommodation at Ziwa Bush Lodge can be highlighted as it felt luxurious, the rest of the lodges were fine as well for the mid-range category.
At the end of the safari we were dropped off at our hotel in Nairobi.

We did a 10-day safari with James through many of the famous parks of Kenya and absolutely loved it! The views are amazing and James was ready to answer all of our many questions. During such a long journey there were of course some hiccups along the way, but James and Meektrails worked very quickly to resolve any problems to our satisfaction. Highly recommend!

A very satisfying African Safari tour! We contacted many travel agencies before traveling, and meektrail's responses were very enthusiastic and sincere, which impressed me. Their prices are very cheap compared to other travel agencies, but other than that I would choose them because everyone seems to had a great time with them. It turns out that although meektrail’s quotation is cheap, it is not bad at all. Not only did we visit all the interesting places, we also lived well and saw almost all the wild animals. On the last day, we even went to Naivasha Lake. These are Other travel agencies don't have it. Our tour guide Juma was an important factor in why we had so much fun. He was very friendly, it was easy to chat with him, and he was always able to meet our various needs. We did the 5 days safari William set the whole trip in a perfect way, he always checked if everything was ok and he was very patient.
The car was great and we traveled alone without other peoples.

Our Safari and our guide&driver Timothy were the highlight of our Kenian vacation. We went on a 6 day safari tour to Amboseli, lake Nakuru and Masai Mara and we really had a great time. Although lake Nakuru wasn’t our favourite place and would rather spend more time in Masai Mara. Nothing to complain about - is that even realistic? With Meektrails Safaris it is! We toured beautiful Kenya 9 days with them and loved every minute.

Daniel planned the trip with us and recommended changes to our itinerary to make our adventure even more spectacular. We visited Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, Amboseli, Tsavo East und Tsavo West and were then taken to Diani Beach. All the accomodations Daniel suggested for the safari and our beach vacation were wonderful. Meektrails and Daniel were well known whereever we went. What made our trip perfect was our tour guide Jasan. Everything was organized extremely well, the car was always super clean and we saw so many beautiful animals and heard so many amazing stories about Kenya and its people and wildlife. What we loved was that Jasan knew where to find all there is to see. He pointed out amazing wildlife and nature and saw things way beyond our eyesight. Incredible! He was always modest and in such a good mood - even though we drove a lot of hours on some days. We just got very lucky having Jasan with us.

We booked the 3D2N package with Meektrails which includes a visit to the Masai Mara village, game drive, boat ride and walking safari at Lake Naivasha.
I’m giving it a perfect rating mostly because of our tour guide, Henry. He made the entire experience wonderful.

I found Meektrails via safaribookings.com. Out of 3 tour operators that I found, they were the most responsive one, thanks to Paul. So, I booked a 3D/2N Masai Mara & Lake Naivasha package with them. Everything was smooth until I was informed that the initial hotel we agreed on suddenly got booked due to the peak season. We got booked into another hotel which I believe was not within the same range. However, we decided to push through with the alternative given to us to avoid further complications.

When they came to pick us up at our hotel in Nairobi, Paul (travel consultant) and Daniel (owner) were with Henry (tour guide) to welcome us. They addressed the issue directly which I truly appreciated. Daniel was even gracious to give us safari hats!

Then, off we went with Henry to start our journey going to Masai Mara. We were very lucky to have Henry as our guide because he is such a gem - kind, passionate, and knowledgeable. He showed us around and shared with us all kinds of trivia and information which made the long drives wonderful and enjoyable.

We started the actual tour at the Buffalo Village in Masai Mara where we met with locals, led by Dennis. They welcomed us with some greeting, blessing, and competition. They also have a small market inside where you can buy to support their community.

During our actual game drive, Henry didn’t seem to find it hard to search for the animals we’d love to see. While driving around, we realized that part the excitement is whether you’ll see everything or not since we’re in their natural habitat and the area is really vast. From time to time, we took photos and just enjoyed being in the moment with the animals. We saw four out of the big five! We were lucky to see the leopard which they say is hard to find on normal days. On our way back, we also saw cheetahs! It was a 12-hour game drive which was quite tiring but truly worth it.

Next day, we headed to Lake Naivasha where we had a boat ride and a short walking safari tour. This was another memorable experience wherein we were able to see giraffes, hippos, zebras, impalas, and other animals up close. They seemed so used to people being around them that they don’t really mind if you’re just walking past them. After that, Henry took us to a tea farm as a bonus before heading back to Nairobi.

Our entire safari experience was nothing less than amazing. We would highly recommend this to anyone who’s looking for a different kind of adventure and immersive experience with the animals. Much of the enjoyable experience was really because of our tour guide, Henry, who was with us until the last day to drop us to the airport. Overall, 5/5 despite the initial hiccups we experienced.

The trip itself started with some changes and extra charges that was not clear initially. Some charges were inflated (train ticket) but in the end it is a business so somewhat understandable. Also while the car was great the radio did not work ( that being said it seemed like our guide did not have any issue finding animals).

The trip itself was amazing and most of it due to our excellent guide John. He was very professionel and listened to our wishes. We saw a lot of animals and John always tried to give us great shots while respecting the wildlife.

We highly recommend Meektrails Safaris! My husband and I traveled to Kenya for a safari with our children (8 and 11 years old) and my husbands parents as a group of 6. We'd never been to Africa before and were both excited and apprehensive. Daniel and the Meektrails team were incredibly helpful when planning our trip and had great suggestions. They are very responsive and promptly replied to every question we had.

We visited Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, and Lake Naivasha. We stayed in luxury accommodations. The prices were reasonable and all parts of the safari exceeded our expectations. I would definitely repeat the trip and rely on this company again!

Some of the highlights of the trip included:

1) The amazing number of and diversity of animals we saw including white and black rhinos, leopards, lions, hippos, water buffalo, wildebeest, baboons, hyenas, black backed jackals, flamingo, zebra, and so many more.

2) Our guide James was amazing and we consider him a great friend after our week together. He was knowledgeable, excellent at finding and spotting animals, fun, helpful, and a pleasure to spend time with.

3) The accommodations were beautiful, clean, and convenient. The food was great and people were all very nice and welcoming.

4) We had a great itinerary and our guide was very accommodating and flexible with any requests we had. The trip felt tailored to our specific needs.

We, a couple, booked an 11 days/10 nights safari with meektrails. We visited Amboseli, Sweetwater, lake Naivasha, lake Nakuru and finally Maasai Mara. In retrospect 8 days/7 nights would have sufficed. The general arrangements by Daniel at Meektrails were absolutely flawless. Everything was worked out well without any pick-ups. In particular we would like to direct a BIG thank you to our guide James Macharia. Not only did he find all the animals we wanted to see but a safari of our length will inevitably come with a lot of transportation. Thanks for all the interesting conversations we had. Not only did we see wildlife but we also learnt a lot about the Kenyan society and way of life. Thank you, James. When we came to the first lodge and we noticed there was no AC in the cottage, we got worried. For no reason. Even if the days are hot the nights on the Kenyan highland are cool so no real need for AC. Maybe when you want to rest between the morning and afternoon game drives it would have been nice. But no big issue and probably, this is not to blame Meektrails, it is just how it is. Also, don't expect a culinary experience, but again, not Meektrails fault. It is what it is. The place with the best food was without any doubt the Fisherman's camp at lake Naivasha.
In summary, a big thank you to Daniel and James for an unforgettable experience. We warmly recommend Meektrails and if we come back, no doubt who we would choose again. We will also recommend Meektrails to our friends in case they want to on safari in Kenya.

Having difficulty booking a safari in Kenya we somehow found Meektrails Safari online. Thank goodness we did as Daniel organized a 4-day Maasai Mara and lake Nakuru trip which included accommodation, all-inclusive meals, park fees and an experienced well-knowledgeable safari driver called John all at a great price. We could not have asked for a better professional experience.

John knew Maasai Mara national reserve as his home and knew all the best spots and areas to see the big 5 and other wild animals. We could ramble on and on describing all the features and story memories we will never forget about our experience with John.

Hi. I'm an 8-year-old kid and had a great time on safari. We saw lots of animals and my favorite was the elephants. We woke up every morning and we got in the safari vehicle and we went to see animals. I asked Patrick, our guide, a lot of questions and he answered all of them. The vehicle's roof opened up so i could stand as we drove around and I will always remember the experience of my hair blowing in the wind. If you ever go on safari, I hope your guide spots lots of animals for you to see. We saw over 80 species of animals and birds. I hope you see all these animals, too.

My girlfriend and I booked a 6-day Safari with Meektrails. We have first been picked up at the airport (at 4am in the morning) and directly began a program which was designed to perfectly fit our demands and interests. Our driver James was structured, well-prepared, punctual, a safe driver, a competent safari guide and overall a just very nice guy, who we got along with very well (despite him being a Manchester United supporter). We were able to see all members of the Big 5 multiple times and James showed us countless animals or beautiful spots within the country. Our accomodations have been very clean and sometimes even offered unexpected luxury. In general our expectations were constantly exceeded in terms of the outstanding organization, the cleanliness, the variety of the program, the friendliness of the people, the communication with Meektrails.
I cannot think of any better organization to plan your safari with and would highly recommend to do it with Meektrails. And just to add a personal note, I think the price should be much higher for what has been delivered.

Where to start?!!First of all i never knew i needed a private safari until we (accidentally) got one. It is the best thing ever!!!Second of all get you a guide like Joseph, he will make sure you get the most of your trip.

We took a 3 day Masai Mara safari with Meektrails for my birthday week and i just have to say that it was totally worth it. Our guide Joseph was amazing, always patient, always relentless at finding where the animals were during the game drive. Having a private safari means flexibility to adjust the schedule, private vehicle, the experience is fully customized to your preference.

The Accomodation was great, staff was amazing, the place is beautiful and peaceful. We stayed at AA logde which apparently are mid range tented accomodations but surprisingly great quality. Rooms are beautiful and comfortable. It’s a full board package and everything is included in the safari rate.

Overall great value for money, great experience and great people. Would totally recommend and would totally do it again.

Our 3 day Safari in Kenya was incredible thanks to Meektrails and our guide John! From the second I contacted the company via WhatsApp I had a pleasurable and very simple experience. They were so easy to coordinate with and helped talk us through the different itineraries. I can be very annoying with all my planning questions, but wow they stuck with me and answered ALL my questions quickly and thoroughly! They were also super flexible with our schedule (and trust me, it was complex due to late flights and covid tests). We saw all of the big 5 plus flamingos (my favorite) among many many other animals! John was extremely communicative & knowledgeable and he worked so hard to find us all of the animals and get super close to them. He was also super funny so we enjoyed all of our time in the car. From the day I got in contact with Meektrails Safari, Daniel was an excellent coordinator and he made my planning process, which can be complicated at times, so easy. I started my conversations with Daniel months in advance and he was there every step of the way. Always willing to make changes where needed to fit what were looking for and always on top of answering emails. It was very easy to communicate with him. Once we landed in Nairobi, Peter (our guide) was there to meet us regardless of the late arrival and right off the bat we were able to tell that Peter would be a great guide. Right before heading out the next morning to get our safari started, we got a chance to meet Daniel in person. It was very nice to get to meet the person I had been talking to for months and he greeted us with a big hug and our first souvenir, our very own safari hat. The hats are lovely and very much appreciated but totally an unexpected gift. From here on out, our safari was one of most amazing experiences we've had and Peter made sure that was the case. Throughout the next 5 days, we visited an animal sanctuary, went on a boat ride in Lake Naivasha, drove around Lake Nakuru, visited a Maasai Mara tribe and spent a day and a half in Maasai Mara National Park where we saw a lot of animals. We got to see the big 5.....lions, rhinos, elephants, buffalos and the leopard was hiding from us a bit but got to see a glimpse of it. Not only did we get to see the big 5 but we saw plenty of giraffes, hypos, zebras, sheetas, wild beasts, impalas, hyenas, foxes, ostrich, monkeys, eagles and much more. Peter was in constant communication with his peers to make sure he heard about any sightings he could rush us to to get the best out of everything around. The language barrier here helped him out a lot because he would keep it a secret and would just rush to wherever they would tell him without telling us a thing to keep it interesting. There was plenty of bouncing in that car but even that was so much fun and he always kept it safe. One of the add ons I asked for was a hot air balloon ride which we did on Day 4 and it was a surprise to my sister. I told Peter on Day 1 it was a surprise to her and he made sure to keep it between us. She did not find out about it until we were literally 20 minutes away from getting in the basket. The whole experience overall was just amazing and I do believe that people can make it or break it and in this case Daniel and Peter were just the best we could have been paired up with. I'm usually not the type to repeat a travel destination but they made me want to do this one again. Thank you both for making this an unforgettable time

We had the chance to do a 6 days safari with Meektrails. The experience was great, from the first contact to the last day of the Safari. The manager Daniel, was super helpful and extremely fast to answer all the messages that we sent with several questions. So he managed to find us the perfect safari and even customize some accommodations according to our Budget. And by the way, all accommodations were really good. Joseph was our guide and it's hard to describe in words how good he is. He is an extremely experienced driver/guide, very kind, funny and always doing everything he could to give us a great experience, and he did!!We totally recommend this company!!

Absolutely loved our 3 day 2 night safari with a great guide James. He was very attentive to our needs and ensured we saw so many animals on our short trip. We felt very safe in his hands whilst he conquered all the busy bumpy roads. The accommodation was also great with a good selection of food, they even organised a cake for my mums birthday with a dance. It's an amazing trip! We have seen a lot of sceneries which is very rare. Image you are at the sky of Amboseli and Masai Mara, leopard is going to hunt his own food, female elephant is carrying her baby to find water and their meals. From this Safari, we really felt what's the nature, especially when female animals taking their baby, no matter lions or elephant, it was a very warm picture. More importantly, the price and quality in this company is perfect enough, we took a land cruiser without many extra charge, our guide Eric is enthusiastic and warm hearted, he is very experienced at Safari and car driving. We are very gratiful for this trip!

1. Booking experience and value for money:
My partner and I decided to take a last minute holiday to Kenya and we were worried about leaving the booking last minute in case safaris were booked or the prices even higher. I had scoured the internet for 4 day safari experiences that were within budget but allowed us to stay in lodges and hotels instead of camping (avoiding tents due to a fear of snakes). Daniel was the first company to come back to us and we were incredibly impressed with how much he had listened to what we had asked and added even more into the itinerary without pushing us out of budget. Every other safari company that responded was well out of our price range.

2. Our unforgettable experience:
We were met at the airport by Daniel and our guide Anthony. From here we were driven to our first lodge (AA lodge). It was far better than we had expected, and all the staff were very friendly. Anthony then took us out for our first game drive that evening where we saw cheaters hunting, and more animals than we had expected to see on the whole trip! Day 2 was a full day in Maasai Mara which surpassed any expectations I had. Day 3 we drove to Lake Nakuru and stayed in a really nice hotel, we went on an evening game drive and completed our big five checklist. Our final day consisted of driving to lake Naivasha for a boat ride and walking safari. This last day was added to the itinerary and was what made me really happy as other companies use the last day just to drive back. The boat ride allowed us to see hippos playing in the water and walk with giraffes. After this we were driven to our accommodation in Nairobi where Daniel and Anthony ensured we were dropped at our door safely.

3. Our first class guide Anthony:
It was evident from our safari that a guide can make or break your trip. Anthony definitely made our safari the best experience we could possibly have. He was polite, personable, friendly and ready to listen to what we wanted and adapt the days to suit. He made sure to check which animals we were most keen to see and did everything he could to ensure we found those animals. He really went above and beyond to get us the best sightings. He was also clearly one of the most experienced guides in the park with many other guides stopping to ask him for directions and advice on finding the animals. He was also well connected which seemed really important as the guides will share sighting tips with each other. His connections meant we were always one of the first to spot the animals before the other vans all turned up. We are very thankful to Anthony and how much he did for us over those 4 days and couldn’t recommend him enough as a guide.

Meek Safari’s organized a great 3 day safari trip for me and my family we were a family of 8. We had an exceptional experience with our tour guide Ben. He navigated around the huge Maasai Mara park making sure we saw all the animals and on our last day we took a day trip to Lake Naivasha for a boat tour and a safari walk which the kids really enjoyed. Ben was very friendly and had a vast knowledge of the animals . He answered all our questions very eloquently. We will definitely recommend Meek safari

Meektrails organized a very impressive 7 day tour to Amboseli, Naivasha, Nakuru and well-known Masai Mara national parks. The guide and driver Peter they select for our trip was very professional and with more than 17 years of experience. He knew the best spots to see all the big 5 and other very difficult animals to find out.

We booked a safari with Meektrails as the culmination of a 6 country trip spanning 37 days. Daniel was extraordinary to work with and put together a terrific 8 days itinerary for us. We have always wanted to travel to Kenya and finally was going to realize our dream. Unfortunately, circumstances required that we had to cancel our trip. Daniel immediately refunded our deposit. After our cancellation we found out my husband had to have open heart surgery so the cancellation would have had to have been made for that reason. We hope that my husband’s surgery this month goes extremely well and that we will both be able to travel next year to Kenya and we will definitely travel with Meektrails. We are experienced travelers (have travelled to over 65 countries as independent travelers) and were very impressed with the consideration Daniel and Meektrails exhibited during this difficult time for us. The planning stage with Daniel was convenient, informative, accommodating and professional. He was so easy to communicate with, answered all of our questions, and accommodated all of our specific requests to truly create a unique private safari experience for us. All of the lodges selected for our safari were great. Additionally, the price was very affordable and reasonable when compared to other tour operators.

On the tour, our guide Ben was GREAT!! He was incredibly knowledgeable and attentive and responsive to our needs. Game drives and birdwatching in the Mara were such a treat thanks to Ben’s ability to spot animals and birds while driving! Thanks to him, we were able to experience way more than originally advertised in our itinerary, all the while learning about Maasai and Kenyan culture, landscapes, and wildlife. On a personal level, Ben is so kind, and was a pleasure to be with over the course of the four days. Would highly recommend Ben and Meektrails Safaris for any trip to Kenya!!

This was an experience of a lifetime. A mother/daughter trip that we will always remember. Communication is commendable. Our needs well met. Guide very knowledgeable, prompt and friendly. We traveled to Amboselli, Sweetwaters, Samburu, Naivasha Lake, Maasai Mara and Diani Beach over 13 days. Our travel was very comfortable, our guide very knowledgeable, our stays outstanding. The safari was part of our honeymoon trip, and everything from start to finish was perfect. Months before the trip I have worked with Daniel on tailoring the itinerary and agreeing on the details. He was very responsive, and communication was easy.
Upon arriving to Nairobi we were greeted by Phylis, took a photo and were introduced to James who was going to be our driver and guide for the coming days. James is the nicest and most professional guy I’ve ever had on any kind of trip. He was responsive, patient to answer all of my many questions about the things we were seeing along the road and the animals on safari. James was punctual, kind and delivered everything that was promised. We’ve always felt safe with him driving us around, and I honestly couldn’t expect how smooth and punctual everything was going to be and according to plan. You can tell these guys are working hard to give you the best possible experience and it was super appreciated.
It was our honeymoon so Daniel recommended the best lodges to stay on the trip to get the best possible experience even beyond the wildlife. Sopa Lodge on Naivasha Lake and Sarova Lion Hill in Nakuru are pure luxury and completely justify the higher price tag.
The wildlife viewing was also great and thrilling. We managed to see 4 of the big 5 (except the elusive leopard), here I try to compile the a list:
Naivasha: zebra, antelopes, waterbugs, monkeys, hippoes, giraffes
Nakuru: zebra, wild boar, buffalo, flamingos (thousands of them), rhinos, hippoes, pelicans, lion
Masai Mara: zebra, wild boar, giraffe, hyena, lions (really close), elephants (a whole herd), wildebeest, hippoes, crocodile, meercats, and jackals
If you tell James which animals you are most interested in seeing, he will make an extra effort to try and find them (all vehicles in the parks have radio connection so they can notify each other where which animals have been spotted).
At the end of our trip, before dropping us off at our hotel in Nairobi, we’ve agreed with James to take us to the elephant sanctuary and giraffe center in Nairobi, and I would say especially the elephant sanctuary is an unmissable wildlife experience, but beware that tour needs to be booked in advance and visits are daily only between 11AM and noon.
Kenya is a wonderful country with wonderful people, and it was sad to say goo bye to James, and leave the amazing experiences we’ve had behind. I can not recommend the Meektrails crew enough to help you organize and take you for your safari trip in Kenya.

This was our family’s one of the favorite trip in our life! We stayed at Mara Simba lodge in Masai Mara, and had 2 days safari game and visit Masai village. Have three small kids and had found 4 out of 5 in our game drive. We even watched amazing scenes of fighting of lions and buffalos! our Guide James was very experienced so knew very well when and where to look. Lodge was very clean and nice. There is small river right by the lodge and there you can find hippos and crocodiles so kids really like watching them when we eat at the restaurant. I didn’t like the food though. Food was plain as well as the service. After Masai Mara, we went to Lake Nakuru to see Rhinos and flamingos and it was amazing! It was just a short visit on the way to Lake Naivasha and the entrance fee was very expensive but worth it. And best part of our trip was Lake Naivasha. We stayed in Sopa lodge, it was very nice, well kept very eco friendly. Food was great, service was perfect, and I would really like to visit again if I come back. Overall, Daniel organized our trip very well and comfortable! I really liked it!

We took a private tour for 14 days with a visit (Ambosely, Tsavo, Masay Mara, lakes, Sweet waters). We had a long choice between a jeep and a minibus, we settled on the second one. Despite the bad roads, the minibus was a good option with a profesional driver. Nice, friendly, helpful, knowledgeable guide was with us all the way. The hoteles were chosen according to our requirements and better than we expected. The itinerary was competently designed, with the necessary breaks in good hotels, allowed us to see the big five and did not get bored in 14 days. If desired on the way the guide will help buy fruit, souvenirs or furniture.

Our experience with the tour was very amazing , from day one they picked us up in the airport and we met Daniel which introduced us to Ben our guide we felt very welcomed in Nairobi and head to Masai mara safari the same day to make the most of our trip , in the first day at the safari we actually had the amazing luck to see a cheetah , zebras , giraffes , lions , buffalos and a lot of antílopes and it was only on our first day we felt super exited …. We stayed in AA lodge it’s an amazing hotel in the middle of the the town very close to our safari it was very clean and the service was as well super welcoming and amazing.

On our second day we had the chance to do safari and see a lot more animals from super close distance Ben explained a lot about the animals and gave us very useful insights … that same day he took us to a Masai village where we were able to meet the people from there and explained us a lot about the culture and how they live it was a totally different experience which we really appreciate since we are from mexico and all this things are very new to us.
The next day we went to the lake Nakuru in which we had an amazing boat ride in the lake which gave us the chance to see a lot a lot of hippos we were super exited because we also got to do walking safari and take amazing pictures very very close to the animals.

This was a breathtaking experience that will last us a lifetime we are very blessed to encounter Ben and Daniel in our path because they made this trip one of the best we had ever had.

Last week we went on an outstanding 4-day family trip with Meektrails Safaris in Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha. Daniel is the owner of Meektrails Safaris and is a very nice, professional and reliable guide. He responded as quickly as possible to every question and requirement we had. Thus we had a completely costumized safari including very nice accomodations chosen by Daniel. Based on the targeted communication and Daniels longterm safari experience the negotiation of the payment and the trip planning were very easy and resulted in the best safari trip we could imagine for us with diverse wildlife sanctuaries.

During the Safari Daniel provided an optimal care for the whole time, e.g. sufficient water supplies and toilet breaks. He also offered us the possibility to visit a Masai village, which we also enjoyed a lot. Moreover Daniel was very entertaining and provided us lots of information as he is very interested in nature and animal welfare by himself. He always found the best spots for the animal observations and we were very lucky to see a big variety of animals and superb natural spectacles.

It was a breathtaking experience for all of us.

At the start of the trip, we coordinated with Daniel, the owner of Meektrails, to customize our itinerary. He was very extremely flexible and was communicative throughout the process. We wanted a 5-day tour for Lake Naivasha, Maasai Mara, and Lake Nakuru within a reasonable budget, and Meektrails was the most responsive and flexible from all the safari tour companies we contacted! They booked really great hotels (including Sopa Lodge – the best safari hotel!) for the same price that other safari companies offer low-budget hotels. Daniel was available to answer all our questions about traveling to Kenya (even those unrelated to the safari) via WhatsApp before we arrived which was a comfort to us, since traveling to a new country can be stressful!
At the start of the trip, Phyllis, the manager, came to pick us from the hotel with our tour guide where we coordinated the payment. From that point onward we were with Jasan, our tour guide. One thing to mention was that our safari van was very clean, with an unlimited supply of drinking water – super necessary since drives are long!
We had an amazing time with Jasan – he was an incredible tour guide and we cannot recommend him enough. He was extremely knowledgeable about every single animal – from birds to mammals, he knew them all! He also carried with him pocket guides on animals which turned out to be great since we were able to read about the animals as we spotted them. He carried binoculars as well which was convenient – since sometimes animals would be far away in the safari. He was really great at navigating in the safari, he made sure that we spotted all the Big 5. And if there was any specific animal that we wanted to see, he made sure to keep a lookout for those as well. One thing that really stood out about Jasan was that he cared about the park’s cleanliness as well – we actually stopped to pick up a fallen hat in the middle of the track in Lake Naivasha. He also spent some time guiding some lost safari drivers – that’s how you knew he had a gem of a heart!

Daniel, the owner of the company helped us plan an excellent customized safari tour with short notice. Quick responses to queries from Daniel and flexibility of dates and payment made it easy to choose Meektrails. My wife and I went on a 7 day safari tour visiting the top safari destinations across Kenya. Many thanks to experienced guides Daniel and James for not only seeing the big 5 but many many more animals and birds than I ever thought we would have seen. Meektrails, being a newer company shouldn’t be overlooked as the knowledgeable safari guides have about 15 years experience each guide and try so hard to find the animals and birds desired to find. Also the selected accommodations were a really great value and included 3 buffet meals every day. We never eat so much wonderful food! We had the most wonderful time during our safari and will forever be grateful for having such great guides to complement the experience.

Highly recommend this company! For our family of 4, 2 adults and 2 children (7 and 10 y.o.), this was a trip of a lifetime thanks to our caring and professional guide Daniel. We spent 4 days and 3 nights in Masai Mara with a long stop at lake Naivasha on the way back to Nairobi. Daniel is exceptional, he is a very experienced guide, attentive to details, punctual, responsive to your needs and just a pleasant person. He is also an excellent driver who made us feel relaxed, comfortable and safe throughout the entire trip. All we needed to do is to enjoy our time. The car was very reliable and clean with lots of water to keep us all hydrated. He made sure that we saw all animals and shared his knowledge. He arranged an excellent accommodation at AA Lodge and took us to Masai village to experience local culture on our last day. At the lake Naivasha, Daniel arranged one hour boat ride, where we saw lots of birds (pelicans were impressive) and watched hippos. He also organized a nice walk at the animal sanctuary to learned some specifics about giraffes, waterbucks, antelopes and zebras. The prices were reasonable, which we appreciated. All in all, we had a blast and returned home with lots of delightful memories. As our kids say, we felt like we were in a fairy tale! Thanks, Meektrails Safaris, this trip was unforgettable!

We just returned from a safari adventure with Meek trails. I was a little nervous about trip, because I was so far away from anyone I knew. My concerns were quickly alleviated, our safari guide was James, a very experienced guide. Having an experienced guide made all of the difference because of his knowledge of migration patterns, etc he was able to find so many animals.

James has an innate curiosity and love for the animals, and a deep respect for conservation. James was also very professional, attentive and kind. We were also very impressed with James' driving skills, which are very important, because you will spend many hours in a safari vehicle. I highly recommend Meektrails Safari!

Daniel met us at the airport in Nairobi on our arrival. The adventure started then and continued until he dropped us back. We had 10 days where Daniel showed us the big five a few times. He was able to set us into a position to get some fantastic photos and knew the habits of the wildlife he exposed us to. We had some great conversations about local culture and what would be expected of us when we visited the Masai families. We would return to repeat the experience tomorrow if we could.
