We had an unforgettable safari through Kenya with Meektrails Safaris, visiting the Maasai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli. From the very beginning, Esther listened carefully to our wishes and created an itinerary that felt truly tailored to us. Communication before and during the trip was always warm, easy and reliable. A huge part of what made our safari so special was our guide and driver, Kim. His knowledge of the wildlife and the country, his incredible eye for spotting animals, his patience and his calm and friendly way of doing things made every single day special. He seemed to notice animals long before we even knew where to look and shared so much about their behaviour and the places we travelled through. And somewhere along the way, his constant “pole pole” became one of those little things that will forever remind us of Kenya. We also learned how valuable a good tour operator is when things do not go according to plan. Our journey started with a major flight delay and an unexpected night in Dubai, and Esther immediately adapted the arrangements in Kenya and stayed in contact with us. Later, when we experienced a very upsetting incident at one of the camps, Kim was there for us again and helped us through a difficult situation. Knowing that we were well looked after not only when everything was perfect, but also when something went wrong, meant a lot to us. There were also so many thoughtful little touches along the way that made the trip feel personal rather than like a standard safari package. This was our first safari in Kenya and it became a journey we will remember for a very long time. My driver‑guide Habil in Kenya showed me plenty of wild animals, and I got to see the extraordinary sight of cheetahs feeding on a baby elephant. Wonderful journey overall.

We had an excellent experience with Meektrails Safari in Kenya. Our guide, Njinu, was excellent. He was very knowledgeable, always willing to explain everything in detail, and shared a lot of interesting information about the animals, the parks and the local area. Thanks to his experience and dedication, we were able to see 4 of the Big Five, which was one of the highlights of our trip. The Land Cruiser was brand new and very comfortable, which made a big difference during the long game drives. We also appreciated the small gifts and details from the company, which were a very nice touch and made us feel well looked after. The accommodation was excellent throughout the safari, and overall we felt that the price was completely in line with what was offered. Meektrails gave us the most wonderful safari experience. Victor planned a perfect 6-day safari with overnight stays in two beautiful tented camps (Amboseli and Masai Mara) and one lodge (Lake Nakuru). From Amboseli, we especially remember herds of elephants, a wealth of beautiful birds, and sunset over Mount Kilimanjaro. From Lake Naivasha and Lake Nakuru, we especially remember hippopotamuses, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, flamingos, and pelicans. From Masai Mara, we especially remember the enormous herds of wildebeest and zebras, and last but not least, the big cats: many lions, a cheetah, and a leopard. The landscape in the parks was very varied – from savanna in Amboseli and Masai Mara to lake and hilly forest areas in Lake Nakuru and Lake Naivasha, so we were glad we chose to visit them all. Our guide Mwas was incredibly skilled and very experienced – a true master when it came to positioning the car exactly where the animals were heading. He knows the parks inside and out and managed to show us both The Big Five and The Ugly Five. He knew everything about all the animals, birds, and plants we saw along our way through the four national parks. And on the long stretches between the parks, he told us about Kenya's history and life in Kenya today. We experienced so much and learned so much and are so incredibly grateful that Mwas became our guide. Thank you to Meektrails for a wonderful experience that will always live in our hearts and memory. There's only one thing we would do differently if we could choose again. We went to visit a Maasai village. The village chief told us how the Maasai treat women and young people. It made us regret that we had gone there.

We have just finished a week safari with Meektrail Safaris and it was excellent in every way. We visited Amboselli, Lake. Navaisha, Lake Nkuru and Masai Mara. From planning, to pick up, to drop off we were so well looked after. James, our wonderful driver, was patient, kind, knowledgable and THE BEST driver imaginable in the sometimes difficult terrain of the Parks, as well as the drives between the Parks.
