The safari tour agent was very professional from start to finish. The accomodations were good. The guides (James and Anthony) spoke excellent English, were always punctual, jovial, and had a great sense of humor, making the trip very enjoyable. They were highly experienced and deeply knowledgeable about wildlife (they are able to anticipate animal movements and even predict river crossings with remarkable accuracy. Impressive!). This expertise made the experience truly unforgettable. Highly recommended.
We were in Kenya between 18th-28th july 2025 and we used meektrails to plan our trip and they did a wonderful job. The trip was full of activity and also well paced. At no point did we feel like " wish this was done instead of that " we were completely satisfied with whatevrr was arranged, be the vehicle, the hotels, and of course the safaris which we were very lucky with. But icing on the cake was out guide/ driver Gideon. Not only was a great driver and very knowledgeable, but also a fine human being. He treated humans and animals with so much respect. At no point, just for the sake of a better view or photo, would be disrespect the jungle or the animals and i thought that is how every guide should be - animals first. We will definitely recommend meektrails, and also Gideon to anyone who travels to Kenya.

Meektrails is AWESOME. Okay let's start from the beginning. The ride from the airport provided by the hotel did not show. I messaged Meektrails and they sent someone to pick us up within 15 minutes. The driver they sent Tom (awesome), ended up being our driver for the time we spent in Nairobi. Meektrails was very informative and communicative, from before the time I booked with them until the end of our trip. The best part of our 7 day 6 night trip was not the animals. It was our safari guide and now part of our "Family By Choice" Robin. He was educational fun and a true professional, if you are lucky enough to get Robin as your guide consider yourself fortunate. The safari itself was magnificent, the lodging, the food and the staff at the lodges were great. In closing I want to personally thank Meektrails Safari for helping me check off my biggest lifetime bucket list item in a perfect way.
From the first contact with Esther to gather information about the safari to actually booking the safari, the experience was seamless. Communication with Esther was very easy and expeditious, explaining information in a clear way. During the safari we were accompanied by Habil for the whole week; an extremely friendly person, knowledgeable and always on time! He always drove in a safe way and knows the parks extremely well. Highly recommended! The tour itself was nicely organised with various activities: several game drives inside the parks, boat safari, walking tours, and a cultural visit to a local community. We just completed an incredible 8 day Kenya safari with Meektrails. From the outset our tour consultant Diana was very attentive and answered our queries and was flexible to change the itinerary based on what we wanted to see. We covered Amboseli, Naivasha, Nakuru and Masai Mara. We landed right during the saba saba and Meektrails made sure we exited Nairobi pretty early in the morning to avoid road closures and for our safety. We were really fortunate to have George assigned as our guide and he was so knowledgeable and passionate about all topics. He didn’t feel like a guide, he felt like family. He was always making sure our 70yr old mum was comfortable everyday. He was able to answer all questions on wildlife, Masai culture, about the wildlife parks and about plant and bird species. He was enthusiastic to help us spot as many animals as possible and had the patience to wait as long as we wanted without rushing us to leave. We saw sooo many animals - Lion prides, cheetahs and a cheetah hunt too, elephant crossings, we were lucky to spot two elusive leopards, Rhino, the wildebeest other grazers, hyena, hippos, Masai and Nubian giraffe, dozens of different bird and plant species. The great migration was just beginning and we were lucky to witness that. The food in all the lodges was amazing and the land cruiser was so comfortable. Meektrails even upgraded our stay for the last 3 nights as the trip was a special occasion of our Mom’s birthday. Such a sweet gesture from them. I recently returned from a 8 day safari trip in Kenya with my family and it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life. It was a girl’s trip with my mom and sister and I want to highlight the fact that we always felt safe. We visited Amboseli National Park, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru National Park and finally Maasai Mara. We were lucky enough to witness the Big Five. We also spotted prides of lions, cheetah hunting its prey and elephants crossing our path at sunset. Our guide George was fun-loving, sweet and extremely knowledgeable & passionate in not only pointing out the animals, but also sharing interesting facts about the animals, birds, and local culture. He also helped to locate animals which we wouldn’t have expected to see like hyenas, rhinos, warthogs, jackal, marabou stork and dik dik. He was always patient and would wait as long as we wanted to once we spotted an animal or bird. The accommodations were very good — comfortable, clean, and often right in the heart of nature. Sleeping to the sounds of hyenas at night was surreal (also safe as there were guards patrolling the area all night). We also had the chance to visit a local Maasai village, which was a humbling experience. The walking safari in Crescent island where we walked close to the zebras, giraffes and wildebeest was another wild experience. I want to thank Meektrails Safaris for this memorable experience which will last for a lifetime. And I would recommend requesting George as your guide the next time you choose to visit Kenya with Meektrails.
This was our first time in Kenya and in Africa, and we had the best memories ever from this trip! We booked a 7-day safari with MeekTrails and were guided by Ben — he was absolutely amazing. We were lucky to witness the wildebeest migration at the Sand River crossing in Maasai Mara, see all of the Big Five, and even a pride of lions eating a buffalo! Our journey covered Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and Maasai Mara — everything was so well organized. Even before the safari started, MeekTrails made our arrival stress-free by offering a complimentary airport transfer to our hotel. We landed at midnight, so this service was incredibly thoughtful and helpful. Charles was very responsive and helpful when we were organizing the trip and bookingsx designing an itinerary that would suit our need. Lukas, our guide, was very knowledgeable and gave plenty of information as we were visiting. Car used for the safari was comfortable, very clean and well maintained. As for the budget, they are much more reasonable than other safari tour. Lodges were comfortable and good food was served. I would chose them again and recommend them to my friends!
After a year of planning we finally landed in Kenya for my first Safari trip which turned out to be the most unique and amazing trip I’ve ever had! The company was very responsive with our questions and provided detailed information and itinerary. From the first morning pick-up at the hotel to the last day drop-off in the airport we experienced the company’s professional services by the staff especially our guide/driver Wawero Phillips. One of our luggages got lost by the airline, on the third day when we left Amboseli for Lake Navasha, Phillips drove us pre-dawn to avoid the potential risks from the area’s protest event and stopped by the airport helping us to pick up the delayed luggage. During the 9-day safari tour, Phillips used his wide knowledge, enthusiasm and sense of humour to make our trip so fulfilling leaving us numerous unforgettable memories. When he noticed that we were a little disappointed not able to see the cheetah and leopard after the first few days, he offered us a 5am early morning game drive to increase the chances to see more animals. It turned out to be an extremely worthwhile decision. Not only we saw active lions at the close distance in multiple areas and many other animals but also we watched beautiful sunrise with giraffes in Lake Nakuru which was a picture perfect for me. We eventually watched two cheetahs walking right towards our jeep in Masai Mara later. Phillips also cleaned up the jeep and made sure we got new water bottles every day. He was always there if we had any concerns about meals, washroom service, safety tips and local cultures. Although we saw every animal we wanted to see except for the leopard, we have no regret because we will leave it next time to see them! This trip has left us million enjoyable moments, the animals, the landscape, the people. See you next time, leopard, see you Africa!
From pick up to drop off was an EXPERIENCE! Our driving Habil was so knowledgeable and showed us the ins and outs of every park and place we went to. He answered our every question and took excellent care of us from rest stops to our million questions about the animals. He is so familiar with the park we were able to see lions, cheetahs, elephants, and much more! We saw things we didn’t even know we wanted to see! On our 5 day safari we took over 1,000 photos of the most incredible views and animals. Cannot wait to come back in 2027!!
For the past five years, I had dreamed of visiting Kenya to see my favourite big cats in the wild—especially in the iconic Masai Mara. After a lot of research, I was introduced to Meektrails Safaris, and they turned out to be an excellent choice. My friends and I had the most amazing 9-day safari covering Amboseli, Lake Naivasha, Lake Nakuru, and finally Masai Mara. So close to animals! So many lions, elephants, fish eagles and many more! Our guide called George was amazing! He made extra effort to take us to see all the animals - even driving out of one gate of Massai Mara and through another to see a cheetah! We have just had the most amazing week in Kenya, visiting animals in Masia Mara, Nukuru, Naivasha and Amboselli. George, our companion, guide and driver, was incredible - so knowledgeable and helpful at every stage, not just about the animals but all sorts of other Kenyan information too. We enjoyed his expertise and entertaining stories! He was also an expert at driving, especially when it came to getting a good view of the animals in the parks. We can’t relieve how many we managed to get close-up to! We stayed at four different hotel/lodges, each with their own great character and assets. I recently completed a 4-day solo safari trip with Meektrails, exploring Masai Mara, Lake Naivasha and Amboseli National Park. My initial contact with Peris (tour consultant) made me choose Meektrails over other companies I inquired with. Throughout the months leading up to my trip Peris was always approachable, responsive and offered advice/tips but leaving any decisions to me. She was also very open to changes to my itinerary when I decided to add on extra activities. Sometimes booking these trips you feel like you’re being upsold a product but it never once felt like that during my time communicating with Peris. My safari guide was the amazing George. We hit it off from the moment I stepped into the van and I knew I was in great hands. Especially being a solo woman traveller we have to be cautious but throughout my entire trip I never once felt uncomfortable with George. He was very professional, went above and beyond ensuring that I got the best experience in sighting the animals, was very flexible to the itinerary and looked out for me. Although the drives were long days, we shared many convos and laughter so the time felt like it passed quickly. At the end of my trip we had hours of delay getting back into Nairobi due to the nationwide protest but George ensured that we stayed parked in a safe area until it was all clear to head back to the city. I can’t rate this experience with MeekTrails highly enough. I am very picky about tours because I like to design my own travel and don’t like being on someone else’s schedule. I had been to Kenya before, but never on safari, and I was concerned it would be a line of jeeps surrounding one exhausted animal. I was skeptical of the tour of the Maasai village, feeling like it could be kitschy or exploitative, and I was concerned about price. I’ve traveled to 32 countries and Meektrails is the best value for money experience I’ve ever had. Joseph, our guide, was brilliant, kind, thoughtful, patient and felt more like a friend than a guide by the end of our tour. One of the highlight memories was having nyama choma and ugali, the national dishes of Kenya, at a casual roadside stop, washed down with Tusker beer, while chatting about politics, animals, and all things Kenyan. We could not believe how many animals we saw in a single day, every animal I could have dreamed of, and we never felt rushed or exhausted. We had a picnic out in the middle of the Maasai Mara that felt like a dream - the food was delicious, we sat under an old tree identical to those we’d seen lions sit under, and the breeze rustled past us as we took in the incredible landscape. We got to move and rest at our own pace the entire time. Throughout the experience, the staff, especially Michael, Diana, Tom, were consummate professionals and unfailingly cheerful and accommodating. The best moment of the trip was when 40 staff at the beautiful campsite we stayed in celebrated my birthday, taking such care in so many small ways and truly making me feel like I was at a party with family despite being out on the road. 11/10. Book - you won’t regret it. This was one of the most magical (and wildly inexpensive!!) experiences of my life.

This is our first time to Kenya. We were so lucky to have chosen Meektrails SafariS for it made our 10-day trip a rousing success, smooth, comfortable and hassle-free. It was an amazing 11 days safaris adventures with James Mungai as our driver guide. He was knowledgeable, very professional, patient and accommodating. With him we felt safe throughout our journey. Moreover, our group of 6 paxs learnt a lot from James about animals and safaris. Valentine, our trip consultant was very helpful in crafting the customised routes for our group making it not too rushing senior citizens. Kudos to Meektrails team for this wonderful experience. This was our first trip to Kenya, and after considering many options, we’re so glad we chose Meektrails. From the outset, they stood out for their attention to detail, fast communication, and tailored approach. Our coordinator Charles was brilliant—always helpful, proactive, and in regular contact before and during the trip to ensure everything went perfectly. We did a 13-night safari and beach combo: 7 nights on safari (Masai Mara, Lake Nakuru, Lake Naivasha, and Amboseli), followed by 5 nights in Diani and a final night in Nairobi. Every detail, including all transfers, was handled seamlessly. Our safari guide Peter was the heart of the trip. Incredibly knowledgeable and warm, he brought the journey to life—not just through amazing wildlife sightings but by sharing insights into Kenya’s culture and history. He seemed to have a sixth sense for animal behaviour and always positioned us perfectly for the best views. Thanks to him, we had unforgettable encounters with the Big Five (including a leopard), the “Ugly Five,” and much more. It felt like we were on safari with a friend rather than just a guide. On our last day, Charles arranged a last-minute game drive in Nairobi National Park with another fantastic guide, Habil, where we were lucky enough to spot a black rhino—the perfect way to end the trip. If you’re unsure who to book with—go with Meektrails. They genuinely go above and beyond. We couldn’t recommend them—or Peter—more highly.
My recent safari was absolutely insane! My guide was incredibly knowledgeable, with an ability to spot even the most camouflaged animals. I saw so much wildlife, including all the big cats of Africa. The accommodations were fantastic, and the overall experience was truly unforgettable. Highly recommend for an adventure of a lifetime! I am looking forward to go again.
We had the most incredible safari experience in Kenya, and a huge part of that was thanks to Meektrails. From the time we first spoke to them, their team was very responsive and helpful in curating an itinerary to our liking! Everything was smooth right from our airport pick up till the end of the journey! A special mention to our wonderful guide - George's passion for wildlife and deep knowledge of the land were evident. He had an incredible eye for spotting animals. We managed to see the Big Five and so many other beautiful creatures and birds, including the rare serval cat, which was a true highlight! What really set George apart was how much he cared about making sure we got the most out of our trip. He often went the extra mile, literally - taking detours, adjusting routes, and using his keen instincts to give us the best possible sightings. But beyond the wildlife, George made the experience feel truly personal. Meektrails team has an amazing safari trip planned for us. Everyday activities were shared in detail when I asked for the quotes and it remained same. We simply enjoyed the safari and our wonderful guide Habil took care of entire trip. We visited 5 national park and all of our stays were very comfortable. So much variety and everyday was a new experience, 4x4 , boat, bike and waking safari.last day we had a sundowner and enjoyed the sunset over Masai Mara national park!
Just came back from the most unforgettable safari in Kenya with Meektrails and our amazing driver guide Jackson — truly a trip of a lifetime! Before the trip, Charles from Meektrails was nothing short of amazing. Super responsive (even picking up our call at 1am when our airport pickup failed!), always patient, and very detail-oriented. When our travel dates had to shift from October to June on short notice, Charles reworked the entire itinerary smoothly, suggesting great hotels based on what we needed—even Wi-Fi quality! When a hotel ran out of rooms due to our delay, he came back with a better option at the same price. He also included thoughtful touches like the Giraffe Centre and Carnivore Restaurant. Everything was covered in a single package (except tips), making the whole experience stress-free. During the trip, we were in the excellent hands of Jackson, our driver guide. Always punctual, kind and attentive—especially to our elderly mum, helping her in and out of the jeep every day. He was constantly tuned in to the guide radio and chatted with other drivers to track animal sightings. We loved that he took quieter routes, letting us enjoy intimate moments with the animals without the crowd. Thanks to him, we saw 4 different lion prides, a cheetah enjoying a fresh topi kill, rare black rhinos, and completed both the Big 5 and Ugly 5! One of the highlights? He messaged us to leave early for afternoon game drive due to possible rain—by the time we exited the hotel gate, a leopard was spotted and he rushed us there just in time! Jackson also had a great eye for photo angles, and kept checking on us (even though he had the tougher job driving long hours). His passion for wildlife and pride in Kenya really shone through. From start to finish, Meektrails delivered a well-organised, heartwarming and adventure-filled trip. Highly recommend Charles and Jackson—you will be in the best hands! 🇰🇪🧡
